Arbok in Dragon egg group

Why is Arbok in the Dragon egg group? I can't think of any reason why it would be in there, but it is. Can anyone please explain? - unsigned comment from Nidolord500 (talkcontribs)

Most Pokémon in the same egg group have a similar appearance, or at least traits. Looking at most dragons, there is a similarity. Gywall 14:04, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
But Arbok looks nothing like Salamence, Dragonite, Garchomp, or Kingdra. - unsigned comment from Nidolord500 (talkcontribs)
Compare say, Ekans to Dratini, and Arbok to Dragonair. There's a mild resemblance. Don't just assume it's only last forms. Even Feebas and Milotic are in the group. Another point is Arbok's Intimidate, which is shared by a few of the other dragon egg group. Gywall 09:02, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
Arbok has some simblence to Wyrm which are Snake-like Dragons. MOst famous being the Basalisk which kills when you make Eye contact. I think thats where the Glare idea came from actually. Xanhawk 22:45 Dec. 21, 2008

Game Location

Arbok is listed as being in Cerulean Cave in firered However on that page, it isn't listed as one of the pokemon in that area.Darkcloud1111 08:11, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

Arbok's Pattern

According to the Pokedex it says that the "face pattern" changes for every region. This is partially true, except that the face is the same in Kanto and Sinnoh, would the stripes on the back of the one from kanto make it considered different? Because the stripes aren't part of te pattern in the front. Can someone back me up? --Landfish7 15:13, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

Pal Park

I may be thinking to far into this, but if one pal parks a Arbok from Kanto to Sinnoh, will the pattern be the sinnoh one? I think im thinking to much into this.....DCM((Mock MeEdits)) 16:35, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
It probably would be the Sinnoh one (considering the sprites are different per game [generation]). Sivart345 23:31, 16 March 2009 (UTC)

Origin

It appears to be based off a king cobra, not just any cobra... Anyone agree? Sivart345 23:32, 16 March 2009 (UTC)

HG/SS pattern

In the trivia it says that the face on Arbok in HG/SS is the same as in D/P. However I see a distinct difference. However it does look like the FR/LG face. I can't change it because the page is protected. Anyone agree with me? -- Landfish7 15:07, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

Indeed it is. There is one difference between the DPPt and FrLg patterns. At the bottom of the "eye" of the pattern, there is a vertical line for DPPt, and a flat base for FrLg. Gywall Talk 15:14, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
Your correct so it is indeed vaguely unique. If you look carefully at each sprite the "face" is different in every game. Some of them are VERY similar but there are still slight differences. (I find it strange how HG/SS to G/S is WAY different. FR/LG to R/B/G is very different too.) -- Landfish7 19:41, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
I remember it saying in Pokémon Special that Arbok can change the face on it so it isn't that strange. Turtwig A Contributions Talk 19:44, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
fixed. -- MAGNEDETH 19:42, 20 October 2009 (UTC)

Reference or coincidence?

Ne, I wouldn't doubt this being thought up and inserted before, then being deleted, but I'll hedge my bets: Arbok's Hoenn pattern. A reference to Majora's Mask (the mask itself, mind) or coincidence? Majora's Mask, released 2000. RuSa, released 2002. Arbok's eye spots: red, yellow, black. The Mask's eyes: red, yellow, green&black. Zelda's a major Nintendo title; I wouldn't put it past one sprite artist to get cute. Not saying it is, the the eye spot resemblance does strike an uncanny note. Locations in SoulSilver

Hey, what's the deal with it saying "Trade (SoulSilver only)"? The edit page shows a list of routes that aren't showing up.

Question

Arbok is in Stainum 2 along with all the Kanto Pokémon, but is it's in-game model based on the Kanto Arbok design from the 1st Gen or is it based on the Johto Arbok from the 2nd Gen? I have Stadium 2 but I don't know where it is to check myself.... Shiramu Kuromu 23:50, 7 December 2010 (UTC)

Arbok a Basilisk?

There's no evidence that Arbok or Ekans are basilisks.Bennell 20:28, 20 March 2012 (UTC)

Pokemon Adventure patterns

Should we add a gallery of the patterns for Arbok in the adventures section? they were the main focus in the battle between Agatha against Koga and Blue.Animaltamer709:28, 22 August 2016 (UTC)
