Trivia
Origin
Considering its shape, large size, and green-hued Shiny palette, Frosmoth seems to be based on the Indian Moon Moth. This may be further supported by the fact that it appears to be wearing a bindi and dupatta.
Based on its Chinese names, Frosmoth may also draw some inspiration from flannel moths. (This would fit well with the Dalceridae-based Snom since flannel moth larvae are also sometimes called slug caterpillars.) Frosmoth’s translucent wings may be an homage to clearwing moths.
Name origin
Frosmoth may be a combination of frost and moth.
Mosunō may be a combination of moth and snow.
