Lieutenant Hide Yoshida (Japanese: ヨシダ警部補 Assistant Inspector Yoshida) is one of the characters of Detective Pikachu. He is a police lieutenant who investigated the death of Harry Goodman. He is portrayed by Ken Watanabe.
History
Lt. Yoshida first met Tim Goodman in Ryme City to tell him about his father's death and to give the keys to his father's house to Tim. He appeared to have worked closely with Harry Goodman and informed Tim that his father cared much for him.
When Tim came to tell Yoshida that his father was still alive, Yoshida refused to believe and showed Tim the footage of his father's car crash as evidence that his father is dead.
Lt. Yoshida was again seen at the Pokémon parade, where he was merged with his Snubbull when the R substance was released in the city.
