Tar Shot (Japanese: タールショット Tar Shot) is a non-damaging Rock-type move introduced in Generation VIII. It is the signature move of Coalossal.

Effect

Tar Shot lowers the target’s Speed stat by one stage. In addition, it doubles the effectiveness of Fire-type moves used on the target. Unlike other effects that affect type weaknesses such as Fluffy, Tar Shot will affect the "super effective/not very effective" messages displayed on screen during move selection and when an attack hits.

Description

Games Description
SwSh The user pours sticky tar over the target, lowering the target's Speed stat. The target becomes weaker to Fire-type moves.
