Ash's Dragonite (Japanese: サトシのカイリュー Satoshi's Kairyu) was the first Pokémon caught by Ash in the new series, and his fifty-third overall.

History

Ash caught Dragonite in SS010 after he bonded with it as a Dragonair and it saved Ash from falling onto a Wailord after evolving from a Dragonair. Prior to its evolution, Ash helped it grow wings,by training along with it on the Electroweb created by Pikachu.
