One can only imagine the mess this page may become the more Gou goes on his 100% capture rate catching sprees. Panky.. (talk) 16:56, 29 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Gender confusion

Is Go actually female? There's more evidence to suggest otherwise, but I need to be certain. PDL (talk) 02:04, 4 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Go's VA is male, and to my knowledge, male VAs are rarely, if ever used to voice female characters in Japan. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 02:28, 4 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
His character info on the official site refers to him as a boy (少年). --超龍Chao 02:40, 4 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
Well, there you have it. (I too was expecting Go to be female, but I digress.) GrammarFreak01 (talk) 03:16, 4 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
Somehow the person I'm arguing with over Go's gender still believes that Go is actually female. But I'm convinced otherwise. PDL (talk) 04:04, 4 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
A recent interview confirms them to be nonbinary. JordanTH (talk) 23:30, 8 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, but that was confirmed to be false. All that was stated is that he's an androgynous male. Ataro (talk) 00:16, 9 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Pinsir and Scyther's personalities

Pinsir and Scyther already showed personality.

Pinsir: Like most of its species it is agressive and hostile, however after capture it showed to be affectionate, as it was seen hugging Go while biting his head ala James's Victreebell and Carnivine. It also was seen racing with Scorbunny and Venonat.

Scyther: Being more focused on training since it was seen practicing the speed of its strikes, just like a kendo fighter training.

Do these counts? Esquilo30 (talk) 15:13, 24 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

At the moment, they aren't worthy of their own characters pages for which personality would be added. I would give them more time before adding it.--BigDocFan (talk) 15:26, 24 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Oh ok. Esquilo30 (talk) 15:31, 24 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Rika Adachi

Rika Adachi is down as voicing Taillow, do we have a source for this?--BigDocFan (talk) 11:09, 29 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Never mind, found it.--BigDocFan (talk) 11:27, 29 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Separate sections

Should we maybe have separate sections for the Pokemon Go actually used at least 1 in battle or something similar (like a tournament of some sort, etc.), and then have the rest just be boxes with pictures? It would help us avoid all the unnecessary clutter if he does end up capturing like 800 mons.--ShallowShaddoll (talk) 17:28, 29 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Possible trivia and re-wording

I'm not sure if these could be reworded or if they are even trivia worthy but firstly, Go is the first male main character to be seen starting out as a new trainer since Ash (May, Dawn, Serena, and Lillie are, of course, all female).

Secondly, Go obtained his second Pokémon before any other new trainer (as above) being 4 episodes after his debut (May was 13 episodes later, Dawn 8 episodes, Serena 44 episodes, and Lillie not at all). He is also the earliest of all main characters to obtain six or more Pokémon (granted, he may not be known to have 6 Pokémon on hand at the same time but he still has more than 6).

Finally, he's the first main character besides Ash to be seen catching a Fire-type Starter Pokémon and the first (again, besides Ash) to catch a Starter outside a flashback since May's Bulbasaur 743 episodes earlier. Dawn's Cyndaquil was hatched from an egg given to her by Lyra, Lana's Popplio was caught in a flashback, the rest of the starters were given to them or caught before May's Bulbasaur or by Ash. 1. Not important, gender doesn't matter at all.
  2. Also not important. First capture is the only one in this instance that would be important.
  3. This one is notable.--ForceFire 05:50, 4 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
I've added the third point of trivia but left out the part about physically catching the Fire-type starter Pokémon. That seems way too specific and non-notable. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 06:05, 4 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, I thought the first wouldn't be important but thought I'd put in here on the off chance it was or could be reworded, I thought the part about having six Pokémon in the second point would be notable but hey, that's why I checked, and thanks for adding the third point. Masser (talk) 20:36, 4 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
You're welcome. :) GrammarFreak01 (talk) 20:37, 4 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
Ah, "earliest", didn't see that word. I think it's notable, it's something that rarely happens to other characters besides Ash.--ForceFire 04:56, 5 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
But the Fire-type wording is too specific and obvious. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 20:55, 5 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Dewgong's gender

In its debut episode, Go's newly catched Dewgong started chasing another Dewgong with whom it fell in love. That Dewgong was drawn with long, feminine eyelashes and had a clear female voice. Should this be considered an evidence of Go's Dewgong's gender (male)? --Astrena (talk) 14:54, 30 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
