In Serving Up the Flute Cup!, a Red Flute was included in the set of flutes promised for the winner of the Battle Frontier Flute Cup, which was eventually won by Ash. Mimey was seen playing from it at the end of the episode.

• The Red Flute (along with the Blue Flute and Yellow Flute) was moved to the medicine pocket in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, meaning that it has been in three different bag pockets over three generations.
