With the start of every TCG Series, promotional merchandise for the Pokémon Trading Card Game is released. Beginning in November 2019, the release of Pokémon Sword and Shield, the start of Generation VIII, and the start of the Sword & Shield TCG Series allowed for a large number of promotional material and items to be made available to fans to purchase, collect, earn, and trade. The following is a chronological list of all TCG related merchandise made available during this Series of the card game.
Galar Collection
The first product of the Sword & Shield TCG Series is the Galar Collection, released on November 15, 2019, the same day as the Pokémon Sword and Shield video games in each region. Each Galar Collection comes in 2 varieties, featuring either one of the two game mascot Legendary Pokémon as Jumbo-sized Pokémon V, Zacian and Zamazenta. These print lacks the Pokémon's type, Weakness, Resistance, retreat cost, Ability, energy cost, and evolution stage. Also featured are the three Galar region starter Pokémon: Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble.
In each starter Pokémon's Galar Collection, the featured starter is a SWSH Black Star Promotional card, while the other two starters are Sword & Shield prints. Each box also comes with four Sword & Shield booster packs and a code card for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online.

Meowth VMAX Special Collection
The first product to feature Pokémon VMAX is the Meowth VMAX Special Collection released on January 3, 2020. It features the Scratch Cat Pokémon Meowth in its Gigantamax form. It comes with a Meowth V Black Star Promo and Meowth VMAX as both a regular and Jumbo-sized Black Star Promo, and five booster packs.

Alolan Sandslash-GX Box
The Pokémon-GX continues into the Sword & Shield Series with the Alolan Sandslash-GX Box, released on January 24, 2020. Featuring Sandslash in its regional form, the box comes with a regular and Jumbo-sized Alolan Sandslash-GX, four booster packs from the Sun & Moon Series, and a code card for the TCGO.

Giratina Mini Album Blister
Available in Walmart stores from late January 2020 was the Giratina Mini Album Blister. This product includes an exclusive Cosmos Holofoil print of Giratina from Lost Thunder, a copy of the Ultra Prism Collector's Album originally available in February 2018, 1 Ultra Prism booster pack, and 1 Unified Minds booster pack.

Sword & Shield Theme Decks
The Sword & Shield expansion was released on February 7, 2020, and with it came three Theme Decks: the Rillaboom Theme Deck, the Cinderace Theme Deck, and the Inteleon Theme Deck. These decks were themed around the Stage 2 Evolutions of the Galar starter Pokémon: Rillaboom, Cinderace, and Inteleon. Each deck includes an exclusive Holofoil print of their featured Pokémon, in addition to damage counters, a custom coin, a rule sheet, a deckbox featuring their respective Pokémon, and a code for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online, allowing players to unlock the deck.

Sword & Shield Blisters
Alongside the Sword & Shield expansion, two pair of blister packs were released on February 7, 2020. Gossifleur and Wooloo SWSH Black Star Promos were included in the Single Pack Blisters, while Morpeko and Ponyta were featured in the Three Pack Blisters. Both products included one of several possible collectible coins.
In March 2020, two new blister packs were made available. They include a single booster pack and feature a two-stage evolutionary family from Unified Minds (Type: Null and Silvally in one, Wimpod and Golisopod in the other), with the Stage 1 Pokémon in them being Cosmos Holofoil. A Sceptile coin and a TCGO code card for the exclusive Holofoil variant were also contained in them.

Alongside the Sword & Shield expansion were a pair of Elite Trainer Boxes, featuring Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta respectively. Within each box came 8 booster packs, 65 card sleeves decorated with the featured Legendary Pokémon, 6 damage counter dice and one coin-flip die, 2 acrylic Special Condition markers, a stock of Basic Energy cards, the Sword & Shield Player's Guide, and a code card for the TCGO.

Sword & Shield Portfolios
A pair of card portfolios were released alongside the Sword & Shield expansion, made by Ultra Pro. They both feature the Zacian and Zamazenta art used on the expansion's booster packs. The four-pocket, ten-page folder has Zacian on the front and the nine-pocket, 14-page folder has Zamazenta on the cover.

Ultra Pro Starter Binders
Ultra Pro released multiple sets of merchandise on February 15, 2020, all focusing on starter Pokémon: Charizard, Squirtle, and the three Galar starters Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble. Four-pocket, nine-pocket, and three-ring binders were a part of each set.

Each of the sets of Ultra Pro merchandise released on February 15, 2020 included card sleeves. They were sold in packs of 65 sleeves and feature one of Charizard, Squirtle, Grookey, Scorbunny, or Sobble.

Sun & Moon GX Challenge Boxes
Target stores began selling a new wave of GX Challenge Boxes from mid-February 2020, similar to those released in August 2019, in that they focus on a particular expansion. These boxes showcase the first Sun & Moon Series set, featuring the final evolutions of the Alola starter Pokémon Decidueye, Incineroar, and Primarina. The Decidueye box includes a Forest Shadow Theme Deck, a copy of Decidueye-GX from Sun & Moon, and a Water Web Holofoil variant of Decidueye from Sun & Moon. The Incineroar box includes a Roaring Heat Theme Deck, a Water Web Holofoil variant of Incineroar from Sun & Moon, and a copy of Incineroar-GX from Sun & Moon. The Primarina box includes a copy of Primarina-GX and a Water Web Holofoil variant of Primarina, both from Sun & Moon, plus a Bright Tide Theme Deck. Each box also comes with 2 Sun & Moon booster packs. These products are also similar to the Decidueye-GX, Incineroar-GX, and Primarina-GX Challenge Boxes released in 2018.

Galar Partners Tin
The Galar Partners Tins were released on February 27, 2020 and feature the Galar starter Pokémon Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble. Two regional sets of tins were available; both sets include a Pokémon V promotional card portraying the final evolution of the Pokémon on each tin and a code cord for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online. The North American tins are the same shape as those first used for the Tag Team Tins and come with five booster packs. Tins available outside North America are the more long-standing octagonal shape and only come with four booster packs.

Dive Ball Tin
February 27, 2020 saw the release of the first wave of Poké Ball Tins during the Sword & Shield Series, and the fourth wave overall. Each display includes 2 Poké Ball Tins, 2 new Dive Ball Tins, and 2 new Ultra Ball Tins. Each Dive Ball Tin includes 3 booster packs and 1 of a selection of prior released coins.

Ultra Ball Tin
The Ultra Ball Tin was 1 of 2 new tin designs available in the fourth wave of Poké Ball Tins from February 27, 2020. Each tin includes a coin and 3 booster packs, comprising 1 late XY Series or XY BREAK Series booster pack (typically Ancient Origins, BREAKpoint, or Evolutions), 1 early Sun & Moon Series booster pack (typically Burning Shadows or Crimson Invasion), and 1 late Sun & Moon Series booster pack (typically Lost Thunder).

Tag Team Powers Collection
The Tag Team Powers Collection was released on March 27, 2020 and came in two varieties. Both include the same selection of SM Black Star Promos, which comprise numerous cards from the Japanese Tag All Stars subset that were not included in any Sun & Moon Series expansions, but differ by including Jumbo Special Full Art versions of either Umbreon & Darkrai-GX or Espeon & Deoxys-GX. Each product also includes eight booster packs and a code card for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online.

Spring 2020 Collector Chest
The first iteration in the Collector Chest product line for the Sword & Shield Series was released on April 3, 2020. It includes Holofoil variants of Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble from Sword & Shield, a coin featuring the Galar starters, a notepad, four sheets of stickers, a mini portfolio, five booster packs, and a TCGO code card.

Galar Pals Mini Tins
A third quintet of miniature tins was released on April 3, 2020, each featuring a Pokémon on the front and a group image on the back. They contain two booster packs (1 Evolutions pack and 1 Sword & Shield pack), a coin, and an art card with the same illustration as the tin front and Pokédex information of the focal Pokémon. The tins and art cards can be lined up to form the ensemble artwork by Naoki Saito.

Snorlax Pin Collection
Also released April 3, 2020 in North America were a pair of pin collections featuring the food-focused Pokémon Snorlax and Morpeko. The Snorlax Pin Collection features the eponymous Pokémon as a SWSH Black Star Promo and a pin. Three booster packs and a code card for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online are also included. The collection was released outside North America on June 5, 2020.

Morpeko Pin Collection
The Morpeko Pin Collection was the other pin collection released on April 3, 2020 in North America. It features the Two-Sided Pokémon as both a pin and a promo card and also includes three booster packs and a TCGO code card. Island Guardians Collector's Pin Blister
On April 16, 2020, a blister pack containing a trio of pins and a pair of booster packs was released. The pins were of three of the four Island guardians, Tapu Lele, Tapu Bulu, and Tapu Fini, and had previously been part of the Island Guardians GX Premium Pin Collection. The booster packs included could be from the Sword & Shield, Sun & Moon, or XY Series.

Sword & Shield Jumbo Binder
A card binder made to hold Jumbo cards was first available starting the week of April 26, 2020 during a GameStop purchase campaign. A customer spending $25 or more on select TCG products received the binder and a Jumbo Snorlax VMAX. The binder was later available for sale from retailers. It contains six pages, allowing up to 12 cards to be held.

Exclusive to Walmart stores, a trio of boxes with similar contents to the Galar Partner Tins were released late April or early May. Each box includes its eponymous Pokémon as a regular and Jumbo-sized Pokémon V, four booster packs, and a code card for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online.

Rebel Clash Theme Decks
The Rebel Clash expansion was released on May 1, 2020 and brought with it a pair of Theme Decks, each focused on one of Sword & Shield's box mascots: Zacian and Zamazenta. Each deck included the standard Theme Deck contents: a 60-card deck, deck box, damage and status counters, a coin, playmat, rule sheet, and TCGO code card.

Rebel Clash Blisters
The Rebel Clash expansion brought with it more blister packs on May 1, 2020. Single Pack Blisters included either a promotional Mantine or Noctowl card, while Three Pack Blisters contained either Rayquaza or Duraludon promotional cards. Both products included one of a number of possible coins, though the Lycanroc coin included differed from the official distributor images.
Another pair of blisters became available in early May at Target stores. Like previous Premium Checklane Blisters, these products focus on three-card evolutionary families, containing either the Gengar line or Galarian Obstagoon line. Each blister also comes with one booster pack and a Lucario coin. Stage 1 Blisters featuring the Boltund and Galarian Perrserker families were also quietly released at Target stores in mid-May. Unlike prior products, the highest Stage Evolution card was not included as a Cosmos Holofoil variant in any of the Target-exclsuive blisters, instead featuring the standard in-set Line Holofoil treatment and therefore no different to those found in booster packs.

The first figure collection of the Sword & Shield Series was the Sword & Shield Figure Collection, released May 1, 2020. The figure is of the three Galar starters Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble. A Full Art Pikachu promotional card was included in the collection, alongside four booster packs and a code card for the TCGO.

Legends of Galar Tins
A pair of tins were released May 22, 2020 featuring the Legendary Pokémon Zacian and Zamazenta respectively in their Crowned Sword and Crowned Shield forms. As with the Galar Partner Tins, two versions of the tins were sold in different countries. Those available in North America are hexagonal in shape and come with five booster packs, whereas those sold outside North America are octagonal and come with four booster packs. Both sets of tins contain either a Zacian or Zamazenta Pokémon V promotional card and a code card to unlock it in the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online.

Pikachu & Zekrom-GX League Battle Deck

The successor to the Battle Arena Deck line of products was released on May 22, 2020: the League Battle Deck. These decks focus on popular tournament-tried cards and strategies, appealing to advanced players or those wishing to improve their game. Two iterations were released simultaneously, the first being the Pikachu & Zekrom-GX League Battle Deck. It comes packaged with a 60-card deck, a deck box, acrylic status and GX markers, six damage counter dice, a competition-legal coin-flip die, a Quick Guide, a rulebook, and a TCGO code card.

Reshiram & Charizard-GX League Battle Deck

The second League Battle Deck released May 22, 2020 was the Reshiram & Charizard-GX League Battle Deck. On June 21, 2020, the Pokémon Trading Card Game Battle Academy was released exclusively at Target stores, with a wider release on July 31, 2020. This was advertised as a board game based on the Pokémon Trading Card Game and contains three 60-card decks, deck boxes for each deck, a large-sized coin, a set of damage and GX counters, a playing board, two Player's Guides on how to use the Charizard and Pikachu decks, a rule book, and a code card for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online.

Trainer's Toolkit
Following the League Battle Decks, another product with competitive play in mind was released on June 26, 2020: the Trainer's Toolkit. It contains two copies each of 26 useful Pokémon, Trainer, and Special Energy cards, including Yellow A Alternate art prints of cards previously exclusive to the Japanese Tag All Stars subset. Collector's Pin Two Pack Blisters
A pair of two pack blisters each containing a previously-released Pokémon pin was released on July 24, 2020. One features a Mimikyu pin previously found in the Mimikyu Pin Collection, while the other includes the Charizard pin originally released in the Charizard-GX Premium Collection. The two boosters could be from the XY, Sun & Moon, or Sword & Shield Series.

With the release of Darkness Ablaze expansion on August 14, 2020, came two pairs of Blister Packs. The Single Pack Blister came with either a Pikachu or Hatenna SWSH Black Star Promo, while the Three Pack Blister came with either a Flareon or Eevee promotional cards. Both products included one of several possible collectible coins.
A new type of blister, named the Darkness Ablaze Bonus Pack, was also released on the same day. It comes with two booster packs, one of which is free.

Darkness Ablaze Elite Trainer Box
Featuring the Gigantic Pokémon Eternatus, the Elite Trainer Box for the Darkness Ablaze expansion was released August 14, 2020, alongside the expansion. It contains 8 booster packs, 65 card sleeves decorated with the featured Pokémon, 6 damage counter dice and one coin-flip die, 2 acrylic Special Condition markers, a stock of Basic Energy cards, the Darkness Ablaze Player's Guide, and a code card for the TCGO.
Darkness Ablaze Collector's Album
The Darkness Ablaze Collector's Album was released together with the expansion on August 14, 2020. The album consisted of 60 single-pocket pages and features Eternatus on the front.
Darkness Ablaze Portfolios
Ultra Pro released a pair of card binders for the Darkness Ablaze expansion on August 14, 2020. One was a ten-page, four-pocket binder and the other was a 14-page, nine-pocket binder.
V Power Tins
A trio of tins were released September 4, 2020 featuring Pikachu, Eevee and Eternatus. Each tin contains its featured Pokémon as a Pokémon V, five booster packs, and a code card for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online.

Champion's Path Elite Trainer Box
Featuring Charizard, the Elite Trainer Box for the Champion's Path expansion was released Semptember 25, 2020, alongside the expansion. Galarian Sirfetch’d V Box
Released Semptember 25, 2020 was the Galarian Sirfetch’d V Box. It contains the eponymous Pokémon as both a regular and Jumbo-sized Pokémon V card, four booster packs, and a code card for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online.
Dubwool V Box
Released September 25, 2020 was the Dubwool V Box. It contains the eponymous Pokémon as both a regular and Jumbo-sized Pokémon V card, four booster packs, and a code card for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online.
Galar Power Mini Tins
A fourth quintet of miniature tins was released on October 2, 2020, each featuring a Pokémon on the front and a group image on the back. They contain two booster packs, a coin, and an art card with the same illustration as the tin front and Pokédex information of the focal Pokémon. The tins and art cards can be lined up to form the ensemble artwork by Naoki Saito.
Hatterene V Box
Released October 23, 2020 was the Hatterene V Box. It contains the eponymous Pokémon as both a regular and Jumbo-sized Pokémon V card, four booster packs, and a code card for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online.
