Opening animation: Version 1 (JN001 – JN031)
Synopsis
The series logo appears as the camera pans across a large grassy hill and settles on Ash, Goh, Pikachu, and Scorbunny, who are looking up at the sky. Ash and Pikachu are shown first, with Pikachu climbing around on his shoulders, jumping onto his shirt, and using it as a trampoline. Goh is then seen packing his bag with Scorbunny jumping at his side. Chloe is shown next poking her Yamper, which then turns its head and causes Chloe to smile. A cut to Professor Cerise follows, who holds out three Poké Balls. Ash, Go, Pikachu, and Scorbunny are shown in front of maps featuring the starters of each of the regions from Kanto to Galar are shown.
Goh's hands are shown reaching towards a floating yellow orb, which is revealed to be Mew. Goh and Ash are then seen. Their eyes meet before each of them throw a Poké Ball in the air to send out a Pokémon. Ash, Pikachu, Chloe, Go, and Scorbunny are seen dancing in the Cerise Laboratory, while Yamper lays on the ground in front of Chloe. They then all clap and face the screen. Scorbunny, Pikachu, Ash, and Goh are then seen jumping off a brick terrace away from the lab and run down the street. They trip in front of Chloe, who turns and walks away. Ash and Go, along with Pikachu and Scorbunny, are then seen gazing up at a rock from which Meowth, Jessie, James, and Wobbuffet look down and sneer.
Pikachu jumps over a Tyranitar and uses Thunderbolt on it. Scorbunny then runs up to a Corviknight and uses Double Kick on it. Ash, Pikachu, Ren, Chrysa, Chloe, Professor Cerise, Go, and Scorbunny all dance and clap their hands. A close-up of Pikachu and Scorbunny is shown, who smile and cry in quick succession. They are shown to be on top of Yamper, who is on top of Mimey. Pikachu and Scorbunny fall off of Yamper and Mimey catches them in each of his outstretched hands before all three jump off.
Ash, Go, and Chloe, along with their partner Pokémon, are then seen walking on a rotating Poké Ball past several various Pokémon and landmarks from various regions. The following scene depends on the episode. Pikachu and Ash then jump into view, followed by Go, Scorbunny, Pikachu, and Ash having tripped, with Goh skinning his knee. Goh and Scorbunny then jump into view, followed by all four seen standing up, looking at each other, and striking a pose.

Variants
The clip displayed during the line 「先も見えない 果ても知らない世界がそこにあるけど」 varies depending on the episode. This is typically a scene from the episode itself, with the exception of JN001, which used the same scene as JN002, and the episodes set in Galar (JN004-JN005, JN012-JN013, JN027-JN028), where Zacian and Zamazenta pose together. The opening animation used for the song in the Thai and Mandarin Chinese (Taiwan) dub uses only the Zacian/Zamazenta scene.

Let's have a fight!
|
Hey, is it time, is it time, is it time? Hurry up! Are you ready to head out? We don't need a sendoff To the strange world I want to show you
Even if in fire or in water Or in the present day we fumble for but can't see We still don't know what awaits even one second ahead
But every single one of our memories Is always inside a ball
Jump in on one, two, three! Because the future I once imagined is right in my pocket "Nice to meet you" always marks a beginning There's no hesitating! (No!) Try! (Try!) Let's have a fight!
1. After a battle 2. Whether you're laughing or crying We'll be friends on 3!
On that day, on this day, that's how we've always done it A world with unknown boundaries just lies unseen ahead
Let's go! Even if we trip and skin our knees Let's go! When it comes to who I want by my side to start walking again I choose you!

Let's go! Even if we trip and skin our knees Let's go! When it comes to who I want by my side to start walking again I choose you!
The view from the neighboring town, the breathtaking world Dizzyingly spin and change Leaving me behind
Even the holes that I used to slip through and play around as a child It's been a while since I last saw one, so have I just missed them all along?
But you know, even that forgotten view is Still out there somewhere today
Jump out on one, two, three! With those days spent crying, towards the outside of the ball
"Where do I want to go?" is "Anywhere you go," right? There's no time to breathe! (No!) Try! (Try!) Why don't we go?
1. Beyond words 2. Beyond boundaries To you who I've yet to meet
Even if I fall with my hands on the ground, I've already made my decision As shadows stretch when the sun sets, I will grow as well
Let's go! It's gotta be after the rain Let's go! Because there aren't rainbows on sunny days Since that day when I realized it
You, you, before I knew it Haven't you became an adult?
You've left it in the right pocket of those dusty, tattered clothes An adventure that could be held in one hand was all of us The memories of those days are searching for you
Jump in on one, two, three! Because the future I once imagined is right in my pocket Let's go somewhere, take me anywhere There's no hesitating! (No!) Try! (Try!) Let's have a fight!
1. After a battle 2. Whether you're laughing or crying We'll be friends on 3!
