Blaine's Magmar (Japanese: カツラのブーバー Katsura's Boober) is Blaine's main Pokémon in the anime. Its English voice actor is Eric Stuart.

Magmar appeared in the episodes Riddle Me This and Volcanic Panic. Blaine said that he captured Magmar in the Cinnabar Island Volcano and that it has been his strongest Pokémon ever since. Magmar has a special abilty known as 'Air Lance' which heats the air around it making electrical attacks ineffective.

Blaine used Magmar to easily defeat Ash's Pikachu. Later, it was defeated in a rematch by Ash's Charizard.
