Hello. This is Bfdifan2006.

My adventure with Bulbapedia began when I was a user previously known as TheICTLiker4, then as Keyacom, at 5th April 2018. However, in March 2020, I was prepared for global user rename and it stopped on Bulbanews.

Proofs:

  1. User talk:Keyacom#Username change request
  2. Message from the Editor, April 2, 2020

I did incorporate elements from my old userpage, such as my list of Shiny Pokémon, most usertags, and the "Pokémon of the Day" box below.

Introduction (taken from my old userpage)

[...] I'm a fan of Pokémon. I began being interested as Pokémon GO was finally released in 2016. Then, I started playing in the summer and my first Pokémon was a Charmander. I stopped playing because I didn't understand the tedious Pokémon Trainer Club login process. But after nearly 2 years or so, I have started again, with a completely new account. My first Pokémon was a Bulbasaur.

Why I like Pokémon

In 2017 or so, one of my classmates had a phone and shown me, how to get and play Pokémon FireRed on an emulator, and I quickly started downloading more emulators and games. I've played games in all 8 generations. I'm also planning to also play Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu. But on my 13th birthday, I received a Nintendo 2DS and a cartridge of Pokémon Sun. However, before Christmas Eve 2019, I decided to play Pokémon Sword. I no longer have the 2DS, but I have a Nintendo Switch Lite. I play both Pokémon Sword and Shield.

Useful tips for wiki editing

  • Do you want to view names of system messages instead of system messages themselves?
    • If the URL has "index.php" after the slash character (/), append "&uselang=qqx".
    • Otherwise, append "?uselang=qqx".
  • If you work a lot with templates, use this site to check if the number of braces is correct!

Calculating standard deviations, with a Pokémon example

Step 2
Stat x xμ
HP 20 2085.8333=65.8333
Attack 10 1085.8333=75.8333
Defense 230 23085.8333=144.1666
Sp. Atk 10 1085.8333=75.8333
Sp. Def 230 23085.8333=144.1666
Speed 5 585.8333=80.8333
Step 3
Stat x (xμ)2
HP 20 65.83332=4334.0277
Attack 10 75.83332=5750.6944
Defense 230 144.16662=20784.0277
Sp. Atk 10 75.83332=5750.6944
Sp. Def 230 144.16662=20784.0277
Speed 5 80.83332=6534.0277

The formula for the standard deviation is σ=1Ni=1N(xiμ)2. I know it all looks like complex math, but it really isn't. Here are the steps:

  1. Input data
    • Let's say, the data is an array of numbers that corresponds to Shuckle's base stats: 20, 10, 230, 10, 230, 5. 20 is x1, 10 is x2, etc.
  2. Subtract μ (mean) from each number
    • The mean is 20+10+230+10+230+56=85.8333.
    • The equations to be done are in the table labeled "Step 2".
  3. Square the differences
    • The equations to be done are in the table labeled "Step 3".
  4. Sum the squared differences
    • 4334.0277+5750.6944+20784.0277+5750.6944+20784.0277+6534.0277=63937.4999
    • For the sake of simplicity, 63937.4999 is 63937.5.
  5. Calculate the variance
    • The variance is the mean of the sum you just obtained: 63937.56=10656.25.
  6. Calculate the standard deviation
    • The standard deviation is the square root of the variance: 10656.25=103.2291...

Shield

When I get an Ability Patch, I will use it on my Inteleon to replace its Ability. Additionally, Agility will be replaced with Focus Energy to make a strategy similar to that of a Critdra.

Shining Pearl

State after defeating Cynthia, at 48:46.

Legends: Arceus

  • Typhlosion: Flamethrower not yet mastered.
  • Staraptor: Close Combat not yet mastered.
  • Floatzel: Crunch not yet mastered.
  • Machoke: Double-Edge not yet mastered.
  • Roselia: Magical Leaf and Sludge Bomb not yet mastered.

I'm thinking of meeting with Zisu to learn stronger moves. Then, I'd have to gather Seeds of Mastery to master them. I have none at the moment.

Fifth Star. Noble Pokémon quelled:

Emulated games

Prism (Crystal-based ROM hack)

  • Mustard Gas is a Gas-type move. It has 90 base power, 100% accuracy and 10 PP. It deals damage and has a 30% chance to burn the opponent.
  • Dust Devil is a Rock-type move. It has 80 base power, 100% accuracy and 10 PP. It deals damage and has a 30% chance to start a sandstorm.
  • Bakphoon the Typhlosion's Grass Ring raises its Defense, but lowers its Sp. Def. The Ring items may have been created due to lack of natures in this game.
  • Denryu the Ampharos's ConfuseGuard prevents the opponent's Pokémon from inflicting confusion on the holder. It is similar to the Persim Berry (Berries have been renamed to their modern counterparts), but it is not consumed upon use and does not activate for self-inflicted confusion.
  • The game will be last saved at either the Acania Dock or the Rijon League.

Blattgrün (German LeafGreen)

In this game, I'm trying to limit myself to using status moves, which means the obvious rules are:

  1. I can't use any attacking moves, including Struggle.
  2. If any opponent uses Taunt, I must throw Poké Balls until the taunt ends.

Additional rules:

  1. I can't use any items in Trainer battles (held items are allowed).
  2. I can't use any Legendary Pokémon.
  3. Battle style must be "SET".

Radical Red (FireRed-based ROM hack)

  • The status at 35:01, after defeating the Elite Four Lorelei.
  • The game's rules, as implied by the Gym guides:
    1. Accuracy reducing moves and evasion raising effects have been removed from this game.
    2. Baton Pass is removed from this game.
    3. Sleep Clause is in effect, meaning only one Pokémon per team can be put to sleep at a time.
    4. OHKO moves are removed from the game.
    5. The bag is inaccessible during boss battles.
    6. There is a soft level cap before each boss, which reduces EXP gain significantly when the level cap is reached.
    7. Pokémon will disobey when levelled too far above the level cap.
    8. Consumable held items come back after trainer battles.
    9. Battle Style is forced to Set.
    10. You cannot Thief items from trainers.
    11. You are automatically healed to full in most boss battles to prevent certain exploits.
  • Pokémon on my team are nicknamed after Squid Game players.
  • Flash is now an attacking move (Electric, 60 base power, 100% accuracy) with a 50% chance to lower the target's Attack by 1 stage.
  • Pokémon can use HM moves even if they don't know the move, but having its TM/HM in the Bag is required. Additionally, HM07 (Waterfall) is still unobtainable.
  • As of v2.2, there is no Name Rater. Pokémon can be nicknamed from the party screen.
  • Because of removal of all accuracy-lowering and evasion-raising effects, all instances of Keen Eye are now Frisk in this game.
    • Some other Abilities were removed for being duplicates (including signature Abilities), e.g. Pure Power is no more, all of its instances became Huge Power.
  • Gi-hun the Roserade has Mega Drain over Giga Drain because Mega Drain's pre-Technician base power was raised to 60 in this game. Technician further boosts it to 90, making it effectively stronger than Giga Drain (90>75). Additionally, Hidden Power's base power is 60 as in Generation VI onward (90 with Technician), regardless of IVs.
  • Parabolic Charge now has 75 base power.
  • The King's Rock lost its effect, now being just an evolution item. The Razor Fang does not exist, with Gligar and Sneasel now requiring a Dusk Stone to evolve.

Emerald

Inclement Emerald (Emerald-based ROM hack)

  • Serperior's Ability is set to be changed to Contrary (by using an Ability Patch). Furthermore, its moveset will be adjusted if so.
  • Sugimori artworks are used here because of the game containing Generation VI and VII Pokémon as well. Sprites have been made for them, but it's not possible to upload them to Archives without consequences.
  • Pokémon that previously evolved by trading now do so by leveling up with high friendship (if the trade evolution did not require an item) or by leveling up while holding an item (if that item is required).
  • Charjabug now evolves by leveling up in the New Mauville to make up for the higher stats Vikavolt has.
  • I am also doing a Professor Oak Challenge in this game.
  • Some moves are now better, e.g. Wing Attack now having 80 BP, and being now learned at later levels. Some power adjustments apparent from newer generations are also present, e.g. Leech Life having 80 BP as in Generation VII and later.
  • State at 131:57, after defeating Flannery and teaching two Move Tutor moves.

Regular team

Items/moves may differ, but I will fix that soon.

PWT: Regular tournaments

All tournaments except the Type Expert Tournaments.

According to PWT rules, all Pokémon are set to level 50, except the Driftveil tournament, which sets all levels to 25.

PWT: Type Expert Tournaments

In these tournaments, I only do Double Battles. I will only add a team here if I win.

Fire

Strategy: Once Heatmor uses Rain Dance, it creates rain (which is elongated by the Damp Rock), which strengthens its Hidden Power, but also makes sure Volcarona's Hurricane never misses. Darmanitan's Air Balloon is to make sure it can't be hit with Heatran's Earthquake. Heatran's Float Stone is to counter Low Kick users.

Not including the Red Gyarados or the Shiny Zeraora, which anyone can have.

Pokémon Omega Ruby - Professor Oak's Challenge

This Professor Oak's Challenge in Pokémon Omega Ruby is a series of streams I do on Twitch. I then upload their replays on YouTube, 1 day after the stream.

After episode 7, I stopped streaming due to a poll on my Discord server whether to stream on YouTube or to continue doing so on Twitch. Streaming on YouTube won the poll.
