Reason: More lore regarding Arceus.

In the past Arceus created the Hisui Region and was worshiped by the Celestica group as the first Almighty Sinnoh/Great Sinnoh. At somepoint, it banished Giratina, the latter who would seek vengeance later on. Arceus was responsible for the existence of the Noble Pokémon and Ride Pokémon after the legendary Hero and his 10 Pokémon companions face it in battle. Afterwards, Arceus would return to the Hall of Origin while its Plates were scattered and passed to Pokémon counting of Noble, Ride, Alpa, and Legendary.

The game begins with the player character falling through empty space. Suddenly, Arceus, as a glowing white silhouette, appears before the player and transforms their smartphone into the Arc Phone. The player is later found unconscious on Prelude Beach by Professor Laventon. The player notices the Arc Phone in their pocket, and upon inspecting it, reads a message from Arceus and a request: "Seek out all Pokémon."

Throughout the game, the player learns the the Diamond Clan and Pearl Clan, as well as the first people of Hisui, all worship an "almighty Sinnoh" as the creator, a name originally given to Arceus.

After the player has obtained all eighteen Plates, Arceus will transform the player's Celestica Flute into the Azure Flute at the Temple of Sinnoh. Upon playing it, the player is disappointed to see nothing has happened. Then the Arc Phone begins to ring, with Arceus prompting the player to first "Seek out all Pokémon."

Once the player has obtained at least one of every Pokémon in Hisui, except for Mythical Pokémon and Phione, then the player can return to the Temple of Sinnoh and play the Azure Flute once more. This time, a glowing stairway will appear, leading to the Hall of Origin. The player will enter the area, seeing a large, empty space. Then suddenly, Arceus will appear and challenge the player to battle. The Arc Phone becomes an infinite supply of Mysterious Balms. Like with frenzied Pokémon, the player must hit Arceus with balms until the gauge fully depletes.

Once the player defeats Arceus, Arceus will congratulate the player for successfully seeking out all Pokémon. Wishing to join the player on their journey, Arceus will grant them a part of itself, as a Pokémon that the player can use in their party. Arceus will also give the player the Legend Plate.

Later, when the player returns to the Temple of Sinnoh, the Arc Phone will ring. Arceus will allow the player to have a rematch with Dialga or Palkia (regardless of the player's original) or Arceus itself.

Challenges

Arceus will begin attacking with shockwaves blasting outward from itself. At the same time, meteors are being targeted at the player. After a series of these attacks, Arceus fire six successive Judgment beams, aimed directly at the player. Arceus will then resume the original series of attacks. If Arceus has still not had 25% of its gauge depleted, it will start forming energy orbs around itself, signaling a large, exploding attack that can't be dodged. The player can cancel this attack by hitting it with balms, but Arceus will also be sending out shockwaves while charging this attack. Arceus will then be briefly stunned, and the player can send out a Pokémon to battle.

Once Arceus's gauge has been depleted by 25%, Arceus will glow red will teleport to the far side of the stage. Most of the stage will also glow red, signaling an exploding attack. There will be an area of safety around Arceus, where the player should reach while Arceus is charging. After the attack completes, Arceus will suddenly disappear entirely; a briefly after, a crack in space will appear, and from it, Arceus will charge directly at the player, in a straight line. Arceus will following with another array of six Judgement beams. Arceus will then begin to initiate another full-stage explosion, which the player can cancel by hitting it with balms. After this, Arceus will become stunned, and the player can send out a Pokémon to battle.

Arceus will then reinitiate the original first sequence of attacks of shockwave blasts and meteor attacks.
