• This is one of the few episodes where Rachael Lillis had to provide Pikachu's voice.

• Ash had six Poké Balls on his bed even though he doesn't use one for his Pikachu.

Errors

• When Jessie from Team Rocket changes into the Ash costume to try to fool his Pikachu, she comes back and says "Pikachu" under Ash's voice, yet in the next scene, she turns the dial to Ash on her voice changer.
