Talk:Electric (type)
Characteristics section
Is it just me or is it not very well- worded/structured? I'd be happy to make some changes to it, I just wanted to double check with other community members first. Volsak 01:25, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
- It's terrible. Now you have something to do ;D Birthday! Alpha CuboneKing 01:28, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
Trivia
I think it's worth something that every generation has introduced an electric type pokemon based on rodents. Pikachu and Raichu, Pichu, Plusle and Minun, Pachirisu Luord 00:11, 28 May 2010 (UTC)Luord
Can any one find out when the colour of electric attacks changed from yellow to blue? I think it was in Gen III however i also know that some older pokemon keep the yellow attack colour while im almost sure that the new ones have blue. Tonberry 15:35, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
I realized a few things the other day. I'll mention them here for interest:
- Heat Rotom has the only type combination simultaneously resistant to Fire, Ice, and Electric attacks.
- Except for Electric itself, every elemental type that resists Electric atacks (i.e. Grass, Ground, and Dragon) is vulnerable to Ice.

Wild Bolt
What the heck is Wild Bolt? Not a move I've ever heard of, and it's stats are all question-marked. Is this from some side-game? Satosuke 01:59, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
- New move for Shimama, it's from Black and White so not much information has been released yet.--PhantomJunkie 02:01, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
- We probably shouldn't be adding new moves from Gen V though if we don't have any new information on them yet. Like how anime pages are protected from edits until the episode in question is released. But I'm no moderator or admin, so I'll avoid an edit war over this. Satosuke 02:03, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
Weakness to electric moves
If I didn't make any mistake with figures, there should be more species weak to electric type moves, with 158, as compared to the ones weak to ground types moves, which should be 152 ( taking levitate into account ). This should be enough to consider the electric type one of the best offensively along with the classic ice, ground, fire, rock and fighting.
Weak to Fairy type
Clockwise from Flareon and tell me what you think. Considering that Electric is one of only two types to have only one weakness up until now, there's no doubt that Fairy will counters it. Go on and tell me bull****, unconfirmed, unreliable prediction, but this is gonna happen. - unsigned comment from Acellutor (talk • contribs)
- And when it's confirmed, it'll be added. Until then, it's still speculation. --It's Funktastic~!話してください 23:25, 11 June 2013 (UTC)

ampharos
there should be an asterisk next to ampharos in the pure column saying "normal form" or something and ampharos in the primary column with an asterisk saying "mega form" or something. 0danmaster0 (talk) 17:52, 12 August 2013 (UTC)
Rotom Typings
Can I recommend a small change to make the table look a little neater. At the moment we list all Rotom forms twice which I think is unnecessary
(Sorry this takes up a lot of room, I don't know how to make collapsible panels)
Can we change this:

- I think it is better to list all Pokémon under all of their type combinations. Same reason we list Magnemite twice; it makes it clear what they were. --SnorlaxMonster 11:32, 17 August 2013 (UTC)
Trivia cleanup
Would someone remove these two piece of trivia as they are no longer true. 1)The three Pokémon that have had their types changed between generations (Magnemite, Magneton, and Rotom's alternate forms) are all part Electric type. 2) It is the only type to have had all of its moves used in the anime. --HoennMaster 00:07, 25 September 2013 (UTC)
G1's Blaine gym.
When it asks about "thunder moves", in Japanese versions, it mentions かみなリ タイプ. Eridanus (talk) 19:00, 30 August 2014 (UTC)
Are electric Pokemon immune to stun spore?
Are electric Pokemon immune to stun spore? sumwun (talk) 00:38, 11 February 2016 (UTC)
They are immune to Stun Spore from Generation VI onwards. In Generations I-V, Electric types could be paralyzed TogekissFan4956 (talk) 10:30, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
The battle properties section is confusing
I can't understand the battle properties section. Maybe there could be a simpler model of that board thingy?--PersonThatReallyLikesPokemon (talk) 19:53, 30 December 2016 (UTC)
- Hover your mouse over the large-print "2x" and "1/2x" markers to see an explanation of what they mean. It's not optimal (mobile users can't do it), but it's something. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 05:58, 31 December 2016 (UTC)
Rotom Dex?
Should the Rotom Pokédex be included in the "Pure Electric-type Pokémon" section ? In That New Old Gang of Mine, it was shown that it's a pure Electric-type. Eternium-Z (talk) 23:02, 13 July 2021 (UTC)
- It is not a Pokémon that can be used in battles. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 23:38, 13 July 2021 (UTC)
