Is Sudden Death Correct For TCG Masters Finals?

My understanding is that a sudden death match is one that occurs after a tie. Technically, the TCG masters finals was just a game 3 that went to time. While top cut time rules do feel like a sudden death match if you go beyond the normal 3 turns to finish the game, the game didn't even get to that point and ended at the same point a swiss rounds game that went to time would. Is my understanding just wrong, or is it inaccurate to say the game went to sudden death? Flagrama (talk) 06:14, 13 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
