A High-Speed Challenge (Japanese: ハイスピードチャレンジHigh-Speed Challenge) is a type of special stage in Pokémon Shuffle that has a time-limited format, and features powerful Pokémon. It may be considered a complement to Great Challenges. These stages cost Coins or Hearts to play.
For the game's end-of-service period, High-Speed Challenge stages began running on a consistent 24-week schedule, with each lasting one week. 12 of the 24 weeks have at least one High-Speed Challenge available, with week 24 having the most available in a single week, at three. The amount of Great Challenges and High-Speed Challenges available in a single week always has a shared total of 5.
During the game's live service period, there were 16 different High-Speed Challenges, with play costs varying between stages, and even between reruns of the same stage. The end-of-service events keep most of these stages, but omit the Pikachu in a Cap stages, as those have been moved to Pokémon Safari instead. Carnivine and Passimian, which were previously Try 'Em Items Stages, have been adapted into High-Speed Challenges due to their old stage format being retired. Shiny Charizard is also added, which was not previously available in any format.
If these Pokémon have already been caught, they have a chance to drop Personalized Skill Boosters. The drop rates vary depending on the stage, but all drops are Personalized Skill Booster ×1.
