The Dreaded Den (Japanese: 恐れ穴 Dreaded Den) is a small den located in the Oni Mountain in Kitakami.

Special encounters

After Kieran has been defeated here for the second time, the player has the opportunity to battle Ogerpon in four consecutive battles, where they must catch it upon being defeated for the fourth and final time. Ogerpon has 175% of the standard amount of HP in each phase, and is coded to never be Shiny. At the beginning of each phase, Ogerpon will have all of her HP and PP restored, erase all stat changes and status conditions (though any stat changes the player's Pokémon may have from a previous phase will remain intact), and will immediately Terastallize with the new mask before the first turn. If the player has completed The Way Home, Ogerpon will be at a significantly higher level, having a different moveset.
