This page doesn't have enough to go to mainspace? I mean, Charizard is a constant figure in all of Leon's appearances in all Pokémon media; and it's already confirmed that it will be in Evolutions as well.--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 19:17, 02 September 2021 (UTC)

All it has done so far is battle. Just being a prominent Pokemon doesn't make it notable, it still needs to do something outside of battling.--ForceFire 05:16, 3 September 2021 (UTC)
After today's episode, do we have enough to send this page to mainspace? My insistence on this topic is because several times I had to adapt links to adjust to the fact that the Charizard page is not in mainspace.--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 14:59, 03 March 2022 (UTC)
I have asked Force Fire about it, Per the notability requirements, it hasn't done anything but battle, which does not make it notable.--BigDocFan (talk) 15:08, 4 March 2022 (UTC)
Today, in addition to the battle, Charizard participated in Leon's "training". Apart from that it has already been confirmed that Charizard is Leon's starter, Charizard was with him during all the Darkest Day, he is getting featured in Pokémon Adventures. This page already has more content than some rival Pokemon pages, by now we should already be working on a page of Leon's Dragapult. I do not understand this.
But ok, fine then, thanks for the reply.--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 15:30, 03 March 2022 (UTC)

Hikaru, please refer to the notability requirements, Charizard has to have an impact on the plot of the episode, training with Leon doesn't count as having an impact on the episode. All Charizard has done so far is battle, look at all the paragraphs and you will get the general idea that all it has done so far is battle. Compare to Flint's Infernape, there are three instances of where it has done something important other than battling (fending off poachers, saved Ash, and saved Kenny's Floatsel), compared to Charizard's none.--ForceFire 05:37, 5 March 2022 (UTC)

Thanks BDF!!

Thank you for hosting this, BDF! I'm using this in my newest articles, it's weird that this isn't even on the main thingy yet. Either way, thanks for your hard work, I really appreciate it, and I hope it's OK that I linked to it!!

Hello~! I'm takoyaki! I'm active on the Bulbagarden Forums, where I am a newswriter for Bulbanews! よろしくね! 00:17, 8 May 2022 (UTC)

You're welcome, I am surprised that it isn't mainspaced yet, I don't have the experience to tell if it is notable enough or not, that is mainly down to Force Fire. Hopefully soon it will be.--BigDocFan (talk) 08:46, 8 May 2022 (UTC)

Mainspace 2

Well, let's go.

In the last few days I've added the official artwork of the games, anime, organized the manga section by putting images of Charizard's moves in Pokémon Journeys Manga, put the relevant Pokémon appearances and a description of the flashbacks in the anime, I added the appearances in other games, I put something on the official statue sold at the Pokémon Center. Considering that this Pokémon will have an huge importance in this arc of the battle against Ash, I would like to ask you to review the decision to keep this page only as a user page and be able to work with it in mainspace.

I even already have a template created for when this page is transferred.

It doesn't make any sense for this page not to be in the mainspace at this point in Journeys. So I would like to ask, can this page be sent to mainspace?-Hikaru Wazana (talk) 15:12, 26 October 2022 (UTC)

You can add all the information you could ever want into the article, but if all it does is battle and all it's going to do in future appearances is battle, then it's still not notable. Charizard can reappear for the next consecutive 1000 episodes, but if all it does is battle in all those 1000 episodes, it's still not notable. It needs to do something notable outside of battling. Being Leon's most prominent Pokémon is only a part of it's notability requirements, but it's not the dealbreaker.--ForceFire 16:57, 26 October 2022 (UTC)
Okay, I think at this point in the championship, I don't have any more arguments I can add that I haven't said before. So I won't insist on it anymore, I've already realized that this is useless. I close here. Hikaru Wazana (talk) 20:27, 26 October 2022 (UTC)
"Charizard can reappear for the next consecutive 1000 episodes, but if all it does is battle in all those 1000 episodes, it's still not notable."
I have no real stakes in this discussion, but this feels like a weird theoretical to me. If Leon's Charizard (and presumably Leon himself) appeared for 1,000 episodes straight, they would obviously be main characters by that point, and main characters always get pages for their Pokémon (barring exceptions like Goh and some temporarily owned Pokémon). PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 21:52, 26 October 2022 (UTC)
I mean if a Pokémon just sat on someone's shoulder and did nothing for 1,000 episodes, I don't think that would make it worthy of its own article. Otherwise, wouldn't Ash and Goh's Rotom Phone have their own articles? Landfish7 00:38, 27 October 2022 (UTC)
1. Battling is not the same as sitting on someone's shoulder or being used as a phone.
2. The only characters that have even physically appeared for 1,000 episodes consecutively are Ash and Pikachu. That should get across how absurd that point is.
3. As I stated before, if Leon appeared for over 1,000 consecutive episodes, he would obviously be a main character by that point. Charizard would qualify based off simply belonging to a main character. The Rotom in the Rotom Phones don't actually belong to Ash or Goh. PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 00:49, 27 October 2022 (UTC)
This is just pedantic. Leon and his Charizard are not main characters, and there's really no point in going on about hypotheticals. This is the last comment I will make on this matter. Landfish7 00:55, 27 October 2022 (UTC)
I'm saying that the hypothetical makes no sense to begin with. You're the one being pedantic by trying to bring Rotom Phones into the conversation. PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 01:05, 27 October 2022 (UTC)
It is already proven that Charizard has all the necessary requirements. I could do something extremely detailed about Charizard's appearances or do something standard Bulbapedia, apparently it makes no difference in the end. For me, the problem is clearly this specific Pokémon. Hikaru Wazana (talk) 01:16, 27 October 2022 (UTC)

(resetting indent)The point I was trying to make with the 1000 episodes hypothesis was that Charizard could appear 1000 more times, but if it only battled, then it still wouldn't be notable. The problem, Hikaru Wazana, is you not understanding what the notability requirements asks for and continuously asking everytime it appears without taking into account what it is doing in those upcoming episodes. It's not asking for detailed sentences or thousands of bytes worth of information, it's simply asking for it to do something outside of battling another Pokémon.--ForceFire 06:20, 27 October 2022 (UTC)

I just find it hard to believe that a character that hypothetically makes that many appearances would be considered "not notable" (as only Ash, Pikachu, and possibly the Team Rocket trio even have that number of episodes). I suppose it doesn't really matter since that will never happen, but I do disagree with that line of reasoning. PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 12:49, 27 October 2022 (UTC)
I think today we can disregard the argument of "Leon's Pokémon didn't help Ash's growth", no?Hikaru Wazana (talk) 10:58, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
You're refusing to listen. The notability requirements is asking for Charizard to do something other than battling. It "helped" Ash win, but it was still just a battle. You keep asking time and time again, even though every one of those times, all it did was battle. You are not understanding what the requirements asks for. It literally needs to do anything else major that isn't battling.--ForceFire 12:43, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
I will say a find it a tiny bit silly a Pokemon featured in multiple forms of media, tons of promo art, a figurine, and now featured in the biggest fight in the animes history, doesn’t have a page for only battling when it’s tied to a character and region all about battling.
