Trivia
- All versions of Lana use special voice-over lines upon entering a team that contains certain Trainers (regardless of their partner Pokémon). Those Trainers include Misty, Kiawe, Mallow, Olivia, and Nessa.
- Lana also uses special voice-over lines upon winning a battle with Mallow or Nessa in the same team.
- According to Nanu, Lana's Tapu Lele is not the Akala Island guardian that he knows. Olivia theorizes that it came from an Ultra Wormhole.
Origin
Lana's design is based on her appearance in Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon. Araquanid is Lana's signature Pokémon in the core series games, as well as the Totem Pokémon of her island challenge trial in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Araquanid's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
Lana is not seen owning a Tapu Lele outside this game, but it is the guardian deity of Akala Island, which is Lana's home island. Tapu Lele's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
