Octillery (Japanese: オクタン Okutank) is a Water-type Pokémon.
Biology
Physiology
Octillery are red cephalopod Pokémon with yellow bumps on their rock-hard heads and yellow suction cups on each tentacle. They possess 8 tentacles, two of them are used for manipulating objects while the other six don't appear to be used as much aside from a stabilizing role. Octillery may be a distant cousin of Gyarados and Milotic, since all three aquatic Pokémon evolve from weak fish-like Pokémon.
Gender differences
A female Octillery has smaller suction cups on its tentacles. The yellow bumps on its head are also smaller.
Special abilities
Octillery is much more powerful than its evolved form, Remoraid, but it happens to be much slower. Octillery's tentacles boast stronger gripping power. It also is capable of using Sludge Bomb, Gunk Shot, Energy Ball, Flash Cannon and Giga Impact.
Octillery is the only known Pokémon that learns Octazooka.
Behavior
Habitat
Both Octillery and Remoraid are normally found in oceans. However, they are occasionally found in freshwater lakes.

Trivia
- Octillery is the only Generation II Pokémon whose name starts with an O. It is also the latest one out, for now.
- Octillery is also the only non-Grass Pokémon, aside from Mantine, Mew; Gulpin, Swalot and Remoraid, to learn Bullet Seed and the only non-Rock Pokémon, aside from Wormadam's Ground form, to learn Rock Blast.
- Octillery is capable of learning up to 12 different-typed moves, save for Hidden Power and Secret Power. The only type moves it cannot learn are Ground, Dragon, Fighting, Ghost, and Flying.
Origin
This Pokémon is based on an octopus.
Name origin
Octillery's name is a combination of octopus and artillery, referring to its many attacks with the "Beam" or similar suffixes. Similarly for Okutank, but with tank instead of artillery.
