Sunkern (Japanese: ヒマナッツ Himanuts) is a Grass-type Basic Pokémon card. It was first released as part of the Neo Genesis expansion.

Release information
This card was included in the Neo Genesis expansion with artwork by Kagemaru Himeno, first released in the Japanese Gold, Silver, to a New World... expansion. In Japan, it was reprinted as an Unnumbered Promotional card with different artwork by the same artist and was included with the fourth volume of the manga series, How I Became a Pokémon Card released on August 23, 2000. This print has a color graphic of an open book with a trading card in place of an expansion symbol.

The Japanese Unnumbered Promotional print is commonly known as Natta Wake Sunkern in reference to the publication in which it was distributed. The text on the bottom of this print's card border reads: "Pokémon Card Books "How I Became a Pokémon Card" bonus card."
Origin
Growth and Mega Drain are both moves in the Pokémon games that Sunkern can learn. This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Gold, though it is slightly reworded in English.
