Powers up with Plus.
Generation IV
Boosts Sp. Atk if another Pokémon has Plus.DPPt
Ups Sp. Atk if another Pokémon has Plus.HGSS
Generation V
Ups Sp. Atk if another Pokémon has Plus or Minus.
Generation VI
Boosts the Sp. Atk stat if another Pokémon has Plus or Minus.
Generation VII
Boosts the Sp. Atk stat of the Pokémon if an ally with the Plus or Minus Ability is also in battle.
Generation VIII
Boosts the Sp. Atk stat of the Pokémon if an ally with the Plus or Minus Ability is also in battle.
Generation IX
Boosts the Sp. Atk stat of the Pokémon if an ally with the Plus or Minus Ability is also in battle.

Minus (Japanese: マイナス Minus) is an Ability introduced in Generation III. Prior to Generation V, it was the signature Ability of Minun.

Effect

In battle

Generations III and IV

Minus powers up with Plus. When a Pokémon with Minus enters into a Double Battle with a Pokémon with the Ability Plus, the user's Special Attack stat is increased by 50%.

Generation V onward

When a Pokémon with Minus enters a battle and has an ally with Plus or Minus, the Special Attack stat of the Pokémon with Minus is increased by 50%.

The move Magnetic Flux raises the Defense and Special Defense of allied Pokémon with Plus or Minus by 1 stage, while the move Gear Up raises the Attack and Special Attack of allied Pokémon with Plus or Minus by 1 stage.

Outside of battle

Minus has no effect outside of battle.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series

A Pokémon with this Ability will receive a 50% bonus to Special Attack when using a special move if an allied Pokémon with the Ability Plus is nearby. Since Gates to Infinity, the Ability also activates if an allied Pokémon with the Ability Minus is in the same room.
