Debut Cheers on Castaways Isle!

Diablo's Ocean (Japanese: 魔の海域 Demon's Ocean) is an animated series-exclusive location in the Sinnoh region. It was featured in Cheers on Castaways Isle!. It is located somewhere between Iron Island and Chocovine Town.

The area is known for meteor showers, and the fallen rocks lay off the coast of a deserted island and give off a special magnetic field which causes navigation tools and instrumentation to go haywire or even break.

On the deserted island, the local Water-type Pokémon were gathering meteor fragments to help restore a Deoxys whose crystal landed on the island during a storm. The Mythical Pokémon was later revived after receiving help from Ash's Pikachu and Dawn's Piplup.

Trivia

  • Diablo's Ocean is based on the Bermuda Triangle, an area where many naval and aerial vehicles have sunk into the ocean because of powerful magnetic forces. This is further enforced by the Japanese name of "Demon's Ocean", similar to the alias of the Bermuda, "Devil's Triangle".
