Silver has got to be Ash's dad! Having a small Pokémon on his/her shoulder while having a Dragon-type and/or Dragon-like Pokémon battle must be tradition in Ash's family! User:Ben10.

not true theres also ritchie who has a pikachu on his shoulder and also ritchie was the one to meet him and silver mentions ritchie reminds of himself so silver is possibly ritchies relative Ritchie
