Mr. Verich
Mr. Verich (Japanese: メチャリッチ Mecharich) is a character in Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness.

Mr. Verich first appears at Gateon Port, where he stops a thug named Zook from beating Michael's sister, Jovi, up. He also provides free food and drink to the patrons of the Krabby Club, a bar in Gateon Port. However, for most of the game, Mr. Verich's purpose is unknown, and his existence is hardly referenced to at all.
Mr. Verich has an alternate identity, Greevil, head of Cipher. This makes him a parallel of the Pokémon Colosseum character Mayor Es Cade, whom he may have either replaced or else was simply an underling under Verich's true leadership. His identity is only revealed once Michael defeats Gorigan at the Cipher Key Lair, where he invites Michael to Citadark Isle. When Michael is about to confront him for the first time, he tries to escape by putting up a barrier.
When he has is confronted for a second time, he battles Michael with XD001 before sending out his own party of six Pokémon. After being defeated, Ardos almost convinces him to restart the Shadow Pokémon project, but Eldes addresses Mr. Verich by father. He surrenders the idea of Shadow Pokémon and lets the justice be given to him for what he has done.
