Medicham's position of its humanshape body resembles a yoga practitioner, with a gray body and what seems to be large red and yellow pants or shorts. It wears some sort of headpiece that is also red with three yellow spots in the center. Its large focused eyes are slightly covered by the headpiece, and its red lips seem to be in a rounded or puckered position.

Because they are so focused in meditation, they will often go without food for a whole month or eat only little. They meditate in the wild and are known to use bushes, rocks or anything in nature to hide themselves from humans and other Pokémon. When Medicham are in battle, they will use dance-like movement to dodge attacks and then counterattack fiercely.
Medicham is said to live atop mountains, quite similarly to the mountanious region of Tibet. It's dwellings atop mountains is a part of its physical and mental trainings, withstanding the cold, inadequate air, harsh terrain, and yet the absolute silence.

Even thought Medicham is said to live atop high, cold mountains, such as the cold deserts of Tibet, the only Ice-type Medicham is able to learn is Ice Punch, a move many other non-Ice-types Can learn as well.
Medicham holds a very unique type combination, combining the symbols of power and wisdom, of the simple and complex. Even after the physical/special split, the Fighting-type is still known for it's exellence in physical attack, while thePsychic-type are still contains the best special attack stats of all pokemon. Medicham itself, though, is known for it's physical attacking skill rather then special.
Oddly, Fighting/Psychic is a great type combination against other Fighting-types beeing resistant to Fighting and Rock, their main attacking moves, and scoring STABed, super-effective Psychic hits.
Spiritomb is likely the best Medicham counter by now, due to immunities to both Fighting and Psychic, Medicham's lack of an effective move against Spiritomb due to it's absolute lack of weaknesses and high defenese, and Spiritomb's STABed, super-effective Ghost attacks, working off its decent 92 base offenses. Spiritomb may also bypass Medicham's speed by using Sucker Punch or Shadow Sneak, or disable it with Will-o-Wisp or Hypnosis. Medicham may use Foresight to creat Spiritomb a deadly Fighting weakness, though.
Medicham is one of the few pokmon that suffered from the turning of Shadow Ball into a special-attacking move, as many others, expecially most of it's fellow Psychics having a strong move against other Psychics and Ghosts, as well as Gengar and Mismagius gaining special-based STAB. Insted, Medicham gained the now-physical elemental punches, as well as physical Psychic STAB in Psycho Cut and Zen Headbutt, making Weezing no longer a threat to Medicham.
