Trivia
Bagon is the second non-Template:Type2 Pokémon (after Larvitar ) to go through a metamorphosis-like evolution. Both Larvitar and Bagon are reptiles, and both of their final forms (Tyranitar and Salamence ) are pseudo-legendaries .
Bagon and its evolutionary line are the only Pokémon that are exclusively in the Dragon Egg Group .
Despite its Pokédex entries saying its head is as hard as steel, it cannot learn Iron Head .
Origin
Bagon is based on a dragon, but possibly draws some aspects from pachycephalosaurus , a species of two-legged dinosaurs known for their domed heads.
Name origin
Bagon's name is possibly a combination of baby and dragon . Its Japanese name is a combination of 竜 tatsu , dragon, and possibly English baby .
