Leafeon (Japanese: リーフィア Leafia) is a Template:Type2 Pokémon.
It evolves from Eevee via level-up near Moss Rock.
Biology
Physiology
Leafeon is a fox-like creature with some plant, dog, and cat parts. Its body is tan colored. It has one shade of dark brown that is carried out on the tip of its paws, as its eye color, and in the center of the ear. It has sprouts growing all over it, making it look more like a plant. It has a longer sprout of its forehead. Leafeon has a leaf-like tail.
Gender differences
None.
Special abilities
Leafeon can use any attack that Eevee knows with the addition of Grass-type attacks. It's Template:M2 since it can learn Leaf Blade, X-Scissor and other slicing attacks. As a fully evolved Pokémon, Leafeon can learn Hyper Beam and Giga Impact. It can also clean the air around it.
Behavior
Like most Grass-types, it is probably gentle. Seeing as it has not been seen yet in the anime, not much of its behavior is known currently.
Habitat
As an Eevee, it chooses to live anywhere it wants. From there, it can evolve to its surroundings. In this case, Eevee has lived in a forest and evolved into Leafeon.
Diet
- Main article: Pokémon food
It gets its food from Template:M2; if there is no sunlight it will eat fresh leaves.
In the anime
A statue of Leafeon could be seen in The Rise of Darkrai.
Leafeon makes a small cameo in the movie Giratina and the Sky Warrior. It was seen with an Eevee and the other six Eeveelutions. This cameo means that all of Eevee's known evolutions have appeared, up to this point (although Leafeon is currently the only Eeveelution yet to make a non-cameo appearance in the series).
In the manga
Mitsumi has a Leafeon in Pokémon DP.

Trivia
- A Template:Type2 Eeveelution was long theorized to be a Pokémon that would later on be released, largely due to Eevee using all the elemental stones in the first generation except Leaf and Moon (although Leafeon still doesn't require the Leaf Stone to evolve from Eevee).
- Leafeon is tied with Umbreon and Vaporeon for the tallest Eevee evolution. However, Glaceon, the other Eeveelution introduced in the same Generation, is one of the shortest.
- As of A Full Course Tag Battle!, Leafeon remains the only Eeveelution not yet actually seen in the anime. It did make a movie cameo, however.
- So far, Leafeon is the only pure Grass-type, along with Shaymin, to be based off of a mammalian creature.
- According to the Diamond and Pearl Pokédex, Leafeon and Glaceon have identical footprints.
- As of Platinum, Leafeon is the only Grass-type Pokémon to learn Swords Dance by leveling up.
Origin
Like most Eeveelutions, it has traits of foxes, dogs, and cats. It also has traits of plants.
Name origin
Its name is derived from leaf. It also contains the -eon suffix, like all Eeveelutions.
