Dark City is located in between the Safari Zone and Cinnabar Island.
The city was the center of a battle between two unoffical Pokémon gyms. The Yas Gym and the Kas Gym both competed to be the gym of Dark City. The Yas Gym mainly used an Electabuzz and the Kas Gym used a Scyther. Ash and his friends worked together to stop the feud between the two gyms, and eventually they agreed to work together to rebuilt the town they had destroyed in their fighting.
