Release information

In Japan, the three prints were released as part of the Movie Commemoration Random Pack with illustrations done by manga artists. These illustrations were also used as part of the Pokémon Card Design Contest in which through several Shōgakukan magazines, fans were provided a blank outline of the Pokémon and invited to design the most interesting illustration. The winning illustrations were featured on cards released in the 12th Movie Commemoration Set. Another reprint was released as a DPt-P Promotional card with new artwork by Gosho Aoyama, the winner of the Shogakukan illustration contest.
