Hareta's Empoleon

Hareta's Empoleon (Japanese: ハレタのエンペルト Hareta's Emperte) is the first Pokémon owned by Hareta in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl Adventure!.
Hareta first chose Piplup to battle an angry onix which had Mitsumi. Since Hareta doesn't have a clue about Poké Balls, He attempted to open it by biting it. This resulted with Piplup stuck in Hareta's mouth, Angering it and refusing to fight, Saying that Hareta should fight instead. Onix, after seeing this, calmed down. Later on, in Prof. Rowan's lab, Piplup fleed to the forest, only to find the same onix enraged for unknown reasons. Hareta and the forest Pokémon fought it, moving Piplup. Onix was eventually calmed down with Piplups Bubblebeam.
During their stay at Jubilife City, Piplup was stolen by K-2 because it was a rare Pokémon. Once they were freed by Roark, Hareta had his very first battle, against the Gym leader!. After a Combination of Pound, Bide, and the oran berry Roark gave them, Hareta earned his first ever Gym badge.
Piplup helped Hareta catch a Shinx during his stay at Floaroma Town. It also battled against Mars's Pokémon when they invaded the Power plant.
Later on, after winning 5 badges, They arrived in Celestic Town, where they meet K-2 again after setting a bomb in the Celestic Ruins. Piplup used his brine send the bomb rising in the air, where it exploded.
During Hareta's Confrontation with Cyrus, Piplup defeated his weavile before being sent floating in the water by his gyarados.
Piplup was used when Hareta went to Conquer the The Fortress Of Steel!!, Helping his reach the top before being sent by Byron to train in Iron Island.
In Iron Island, Hareta decided that he was relying to heavily on Piplup, so he went training without it.
At Lake Valor, Piplup defeated Saturn's Rhyperior twice and alluded Cyrus's Gyarados's attacks.
Piplup was used later on in the battle against Mitsumi. It, along with Regigigas, defeated Mitsumi's Electivire and Dusknoir. It, along with Regigigas, was the only 2 Pokémon to be still standing after the battle.
After the battle, Cyrus had the building Self-destruct, with Hareta and Mitsumi the only ones still in the building. They were saved By Jun's Dragonite. However, Piplup was feeling sick. Mitsumi explained that before Hareta left for his Journey, She attached a Everstone to Piplup, hoping that Hareta will learn faster with weaker Pokémon. She removed the everstone, and Piplup immediatly evolved into Prinplup, Then into Empoleon!
Since then, Empoleon has participated in battles at both the Spear Pillar and Pokémon League.
