I recall something similar with Ash's gym battle against Jasmine's Steelix. When Cyndaquil tried to attack, Steelix used Sandstorm and moved around to protect itself...similar? ht14 19:45, 23 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

I also know that Bugsy's Scyther was able to use Swords Dance to create a wind-themed shield to block the Flamethrower attack from Ash's Cyndaquil. -Tyler53841 03:47, 18 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

I can understand you but at that time there was no concept of "Counter Shield" just like abilities. --♫♪Adyniz♪♫ 04:06, 18 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Ummm, that's how they use the moves.--ForceFire 07:30, 18 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yes, that's what i think. --♫♪Adyniz♪♫ 09:23, 18 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

If that's the case, there's contradictions... was it mentioned in the anime that Ash's Pikachu, Monferno, and Fantina's Drifblim specifically used this tactic then? If not, there's no significance to this page... ht14 15:08, 2 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Dawn's Spin

We have an article on Counter Shields but what about Dawn's Spin that has made so many variations. I think that's notable enough to make an article on. Beside's many of my budz wanted to learn more about that but couldn't find a place to read about it. -- Landfish7 18:23, 24 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

because they are contest moves, not strategic moves.--ForceFire 07:30, 18 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
