Kricketot is less common in the wild than its evolved form, Kricketune: it cannot be found during the day, while Kricketune can.
Kricketot is so far the only Pokémon with a base stat total of 194.
Kricketot was initially believed to evolve into either Volbeat or Illumise, however, this is now known to be false.
Kricketot has lower Base Stats than Magikarp, commonly thought to be the weakest Pokémon. However, Kricketot has a more diverse and powerful movepool in Pokémon Platinum.
Kricketot could learn only Growl and Bide in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, although it had a larger movepool in Platinum with the introduction of the Move Tutors and that it can now learn Bug Bite through level-up.
Origin
Kricketot is based on a cricket and a music conductor.
Name origin
Kricketot is a corruption of cricket and tot. Korobōshi's name is derived from kuroboshi tsutsuhamushi, the black-spotted leaf beetle, or 蟋蟀 koorogi, cricket, and 黒星 kuroboshi, black-spot.
