Pochama comes with the abilityTorrent, which increases the power of Water-type attacks by 50% once the Pokémon has less than one-third of its maximum HP.
Pochama evolves into Pottaishi at Level 16 and into Emperte at Level 36.
Pochama resembles a penguin chick and also looks a little bit like Torchic. Pochama has yellow feet and light-blue body. There are two white spots on its chest that seem to resemble buttons on a suit. Pochama also appears to have a blue cape. Pochama has a circular, blue head with white circles around Pochama's eyes and a small, yellow beak.
Despite the fact that Pochama is a Penguin Pokémon, it is a pure Water-type.

Behavior
Pochama have a large sense of self-pride. Because of this, a Pochama has a hard time accepting food from humans.
Habitat
Pochama live along the sea shore in colder climates. However, Pochama are quite rare and they're usually given out by Professor Nanakamado to new Pokémon trainers in the Sinnoh Region.
It lives along the shoreline of northern countries, and is very adept in swimming. It is able to dive into waters for more than 10 minutes to retrieve food.
Pochama may be derived from 坊っちゃま botchama, meaning child, with the P perhaps coming from penguin. It may also be based on ぽちゃぽちゃ pochapocha, which means either splashing in water or having a plump appearance.
