Gust (Japanese: かぜおこし Stir Up Wind) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation I, though it was a Template:Type2 move in Generation I.
Effect
Generation I
In Generation I, this move is Template:Type2. Gust deals damage without a secondary effect.
Generation II - Generation IV
Gust became a Flying-type move in Generation II and kept this status in subsequent generations. Gust does damage and will double the damage on an opponent that is in the first stage of Fly or Bounce.

Pokémon
Pidgey. Pidgey flaps its wings at a high speed to create a miniature tornado.

Pidgeotto. Pidgeotto flaps its wings at a high speed to create a miniature tornado or gusts of wind or Pidgeotto circles around its opponent at high speed, lifting it up.

Pidgeot. Pidgeot flaps its wings and white energy is released, hitting the opponent.

Clefairy. Two strong winds come out of Clefairy's fingers and they form a tornado.

Venomoth. Venomoth flaps its wings at a high speed to create gusts of wind.

Beautifly. Beautifly flaps its wings at a high speed to create gusts of wind.

- Gust is one of the four moves to have its type changed in Generation II, the others being Karate Chop, Bite, and Sand-Attack. Coincidentally, they all were Template:Type2 moves in Generation I.
