A drink is a type of item from the Pokémon games. Most can be used during or out of battle to restore a Pokémon's HP. They are usually a cheap alternative to Potions, but are rarely purchasable in bulk.

Drinks are found in a variety of special places. The main three, Fresh Water, Soda Pop, and Lemonade, can be bought from vending machines atop the Celadon Department Store, Goldenrod Department Store, Lilycove Department Store, and Veilstone Department Store, as well as the vending machines in The Under (Pokémon Colosseum only) and Pyrite Town (Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness only), and on Two Island after certain requirements are met.

Types of drink

Bag Fresh Water Sprite.png Fresh Water

  • Japanese: おいしいみず Delicious Water

A refreshing drink which restores 50 HP. Costs $200, and can be found at all vending machines and at the store on Two Island.

Atop the Celadon Department Store, there is a thirsty girl who will give away a TM in exchange for a drink from the vending machines. In Generation I, she will give away a TM13 (Ice Beam) for a Fresh Water, and in Generation III, she will give a TM16 (Light Screen).

Bag Soda Pop Sprite.png Soda Pop

  • Japanese: サイコソーダ Supreme Soda

A fizzy drink which restores 60 HP. Costs $300, and can be found at all vending machines, on Two Island after rescuing Lostelle on Three Island, and at the Seashore House south of Slateport City.

Atop the Celadon Department Store, there is a thirsty girl who will give out a TM in exchange for a drink from the vending machines. In Generation I, she will give a TM48 (Rock Slide) for a Soda Pop, and in Generation III, she will give a TM20 (Safeguard).

Bag Lemonade Sprite.png Lemonade

  • Japanese: ミックスオレ Milk Mixture

A sweet drink which restores 80 HP. Costs $350, and can be found at all vending machines, on Two Island after acquiring the National Pokédex, and at the Mt. Moon souvenir shop in Generation II.

Atop the Celadon Department Store, there is a thirsty girl who will give away a TM in exchange for a drink from the vending machines. In Generation I, she will give TM49 (Tri Attack) for a Lemonade, and in Generation III, she will give TM33 (Reflect).

On Chrono Island, at the Memorial Pillar, a trainer can be found mourning his deceased Onix, who loved Lemonade. If the player sets one on the memorial to honor the Onix, its owner will reward him or her with TM42 (Facade).

Bag Moomoo Milk Sprite.png MooMoo Milk

  • Japanese: モーモーミルク MooMoo Milk

A nutritious drink which restores up to 100 HP. It costs $500, and can be bought at MooMoo Farm on Route 39 (Generation II/), on Two Island after acquiring the National Pokédex, in the vending machine in Pyrite Town in Pokémon XD (Generation III), and in the Café Cabin on Route 210 (Generation IV). Wild Miltank sometimes hold MooMoo Milk. It is also held by Hayley's Miltank, which she may trade to players of My Pokémon Ranch.

Bag Berry Juice Sprite.png Berry Juice

  • Japanese: きのみジュース Berry Juice

A strange drink which restores 20 HP. This drink must be made by making a Shuckle hold a Berry (Generation II) or an Oran Berry (Generation III/IV). Over time, the berry will become Berry Juice. If left longer, it will turn into a Rare Candy.

Bag Tea Sprite.png Tea

  • Japanese: おちゃ Green Tea

A hot drink which is good for quenching thirst. In the Generation I games, a Fresh Water, Soda Pop, or Lemonade could to be given to the thirsty guards who blocked the player from entering Saffron City; in Generation III, the guards must instead be given this key item, which is found in the Celadon Mansion. This is likely to prevent exploitation of a Pokémon's ability to hold items: another FireRed or LeafGreen game could trade in a Pokémon holding one of the three buyable drinks to allow entry into Saffron as early as after defeating Brock, an exploit possible in Generation I by using Pokémon Stadium 2's Color Case.
