Macpika (talk) 01:07, 21 January 2020 (UTC) It says that Inteleon is partly based on chameleons and its appearance is influenced by flying lizards. Could you also add that it's based on a basilisk lizard like its pre-evolution, Sobble?
- Just to clarify, the association with the basilisks stems from the crest or from other physical features?—Mister Wu (talk) 01:24, 21 January 2020 (UTC)
Macpika (talk) 20:02, 21 January 2020 (UTC) Another thing relating to the basilisk lizard other than the head crest is how it runs on the water to escape from predators which would explain its Water-type as well as its slender legs, claws and straight tail.
- As far as I know, Inteleon’s official bios do not provide evidence of it being able to run on water, though, nor that the slender body allows fast runs. The Water type is rather related in the Pokédex entries and official bios to its ability to shoot water at high pressure, which follows the British intelligence motif.—Mister Wu (talk) 22:59, 21 January 2020 (UTC)
Add to Sobble's Origin Section
We know Sobble is based on a chameleon and it says that's it's Water-typing is based on the basilisk lizard, but could you also specify that it's based on the Veiled chameleon? This information below will explain more about that particular species of chameleon connects to Sobble.
Because of its color scheme and type, Sobble could be based on the Veiled chameleon. Even though it's not aquatic, it has a special adaption to collect water in its habitat where there is little water. This species of chameleon has a casque (the helmet-like protrusion on top of its head) that collects water. At night, droplets of moisture roll down the casque and into the chameleon's mouth.
The way the droplets flow down the Veiled chameleon's face could give the illusion that it's crying which could explain the teardrop markings on Sobble's face. The adult males of this species have defined bands of blue and yellow. Those two colors are part of Sobble's color scheme.
