Seasons

Pokémon TV currently lists EP058 as "S2 E3", or the third episode of the second season. It also lists the next 9 episodes in rotation accordingly. This conflicts with Bulbapedia's anime ordering, which indicates that EP058 should be "S1 E58", as the third episode of the second season is EP083. However, the other 40 episodes in rotation from Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Unova all match up to Bulbapedia's ordering system (except for episodes that were never dubbed, which are skipped). What's going on? --TheVeryBest 21:01, 12 April 2014 (UTC)

There are two different types of seasons: the Pokémon.com seasons and the US DVD seasons. Pokémon.com seasons are how the seasons were divided when the show originally aired, and the way Australian home videos divide them; these are usually 52 episodes long, unless it occurs at the end of a series (except for Johto/Hoenn, where there are some Johto episodes in Advanced) or there was an episode skipped (as is the case with Diamond and Pearl). US DVD seasons are the seasons that align with the openings. From Advanced Challenge onward, these two are the same. Organizing these properly is something I plan to do after sorting out Australian DVD releases. --SnorlaxMonster 01:57, 13 April 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for explaining. What do you mean by "organizing?" Like making a separate list of how Pokémon.com orders the first few seasons? (Why would they go back to that nonsensical system? Ash doesn't even have his 8th Kanto badge yet when the Orange Archipelago supposedly starts…) --TheVeryBest 02:24, 13 April 2014 (UTC)
The Pokémon.com seasons are all about dividing based on how the show originally aired and is provided to TV stations when they air reruns. IMO they are better referred to as "Season 1", "Season 2", etc. while the US DVD seasons as the season titles. This is something I made a while ago for how we might organize them, but it does still need a bit of work. --SnorlaxMonster 02:27, 13 April 2014 (UTC)

Advanced generation

Why does TPCI say AG001 as episode 13 - unsigned comment from Istiyaq (talkcontribs)

As per AG001's trivia "On DVD releases of Pokémon: Advanced, this episode is considered the season premiere. However, on televised airings, that title falls to Address Unown!. In other words, Pokémon TV is following the broadcast count.--ForceFire 13:01, 7 December 2019 (UTC)

Rotation?

Why hasn't TPCI rotated the Advanced Generation series when the Diamond and Pearl Episodes were added - unsigned comment from Istiyaq (talkcontribs)

They have removed Pokémon the Series: Ruby and Sapphire after Pokémon: DP Battle Dimensions was added. DarkDan 23:00, 1 June 2020 (UTC)

Pokémon Movie Marathon

Is the Pokémon Movie Marathon finished, as they haven’t added movies after Pokémon the Movie: Hoopa and the Clash of Ages. DarkDan 22:58, 1 June 2020 (UTC)

Very late reply, but it's apparently not finished, as they've been adding new movies monthly. The currently available movie is M13. Brunogabriel (talk) 21:30, 28 March 2021 (UTC)

Updates on seasons availability

Is it worth to monthly update which seasons are currently available? Shouldn't we just mention which seasons are permanently there (S01, S02 and S20, S21, S22, S23 for now), and specify that the other seasons are added monthly and removed once a new series starts?--Ricbolog1310 (talk) 09:25, 13 June 2021 (UTC)

Availability outside of Europe and United States

Why are The Johto Journeys to Master Quest not available outside of Europe and the United States. E.g. Sweden and Russia. - unsigned comment from DarkDan (talkcontribs)
