Flavor text Generation IV Raises evasion if the Pokémon is confused. Generation V Raises evasion if the Pokémon is confused. Generation VI Raises evasion if the Pokémon is confused. Generation VII Raises evasion if the Pokémon is confused. Generation VIII Raises evasiveness if the Pokémon is confused. Generation IX Boosts the Pokémon's evasiveness if it is confused.

Tangled Feet (Japanese: ちどりあし Tottering Steps) is an Ability introduced in Generation IV.

Effect

In battle

While a Pokémon with this Ability is confused, moves targeting it have their accuracy halved.

Outside of battle

Tangled Feet has no effect outside of battle.

• In volume 40, Pearl's Chatot, Chatler, was revealed to have Tangled Feet as his Ability.

In the TCG

Tangled Feet debuted as an Ability in the Pokémon Trading Card Game with Spinda from the Paradox Rift expansion. It allows the player to flip a coin if the Pokémon with this Ability is Confused and is about to receive damage from an attack from the opponent's Pokémon; if heads, the damage is prevented.

• Prior to Generation VIII, all Pokémon with this Ability were Normal-type and all except Spinda were Flying-type.
