By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

About Pronunciations

In the past, Bulbapedia attempted to include pronunciations in the species articles. However, due to several conflicting sources of official pronunciations, official handbooks, Pokémon Battle Revolution, and Pokédex 3D Pro, it became far too problematic to include them in the articles. It was decided that it was best to simply not include pronunciations on the species articles, to avoid conflicting official information. I hope you understand. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 15:21, 14 July 2015 (UTC)

Okay thanks, i can understand. - unsigned comment from Theexploringgamer2 (talkcontribs)

Signing comments

When adding new comments on talk pages, including your own, please make sure to end the comment with 4 tildes ~~~~ as that will make the software include your signature as defined in your preferences. For more information regarding signatures, please check out the signature policy. Thanks! - Kogoro - Talk to me - 15:41, 14 July 2015 (UTC)

Hey, can I upload pictures, I really like to fix the missing sprites of gen 6, but it's hard because I can't add anything! Theexploringgamer2 (talk) 16:11, 15 July 2015 (UTC)
You can always ask anyone who can upload to put them up for you. You can find this by going over to the Archives side and clicking "Recent Uploads"; people shown with uploads there typically have the ability to upload. You can post the image elsewhere (Tinypic works, for instance) and then link to it in the way I linked Archives in this comment on the user page of whoever you ask for help. If the image meets the criteria for fair use (which is your job to point out), then they may upload it. Note that you must usually create the content yourself (as in pulling game sprites, or taking screenshots), and not use them from elsewhere unless given explicit permission; this is to protect Bulbagarden from people claiming copyright against something, among other reasons. Shiny Desccriptions

I'm not against the idea of Shiny differences in the Biology section. However, a lot of what is being added is identical to what is already there. It might be best to just add to the end of the paragraph with the physical description saying, for instance, "A Shiny Bulbasaur's skin is more of a green color instead of blue" and leaving it at that as there is no other difference in your addition.

That said, staff may have decided not to put Shiny information there; I honestly don't know. For now, I will revert the descriptions since they are mostly repetitive and ask someone about it. CycloneGU (talk) 17:49, 15 July 2015 (UTC)

That sounds good. I just decided to copy the main biology and make minor edits to it... Theexploringgamer2 (talk) 20:39, 15 July 2015 (UTC)
Also, please use colons when replying. Also, the tildes are conventionally used on the same line at the end of the comment, not as a new line. The latter is a minor thing, but please try to do the former (the colons). Check how I've set up this comment section for you to see how things look. =) CycloneGU (talk) 20:51, 15 July 2015 (UTC)
