'''Options''' is something that a player can select from the [[menu]] in [[Version|the main series]] of [[Pokémon games]]. The options differ throughout the various games.

==[[Generation I]]==
The player can use the options to change:
* Text speed to fast, medium, or slow.
* [[Battle animation]] to on or off.
* Battle style to shift (the chance to switch Pokémon when an opponent sends out their next Pokémon) or set (no opportunity to change).

The player can use the options to change:
* Text speed to slow, mid, or fast.
* Battle animation to on or off.
* Battle style to shift or set.
* Sound to mono or stereo.
* Print to normal, darker, darkest, lightest, or lighter.

The player can use the options to change:
* Text speed to slow, mid, or fast.
* Battle scene to on or off.
* Battle style to shift or set.
* Sound to mono or stereo.
* Print to normal, darker, darkest, lightest, or lighter.
* Menu account to on or off.
* Frame type to 8 different schemes.

The player can use the options to change:
* Text speed to slow, mid, or fast.
* Battle scene to on or off.
* Battle style to shift or set.
* Sound to mono or stereo.
* Button mode to normal, LR, or L=A
* Frame type to 20 different schemes.

FireRed and LeafGreen have almost the same options as [[Generation III]], except the button mode can be changed to help, LR, or L=A. There are also only 10 frame schemes.
