==In the anime==
Golurk debuted in ''[[SM104|That's Some Spicy Island Research!]]'', where it was first seen assisting Hapu in a radish (大根 ''{{wp|daikon}}'') field. When Ash passed by with {{ashcl}}, he was excited to see Golurk and jumped into the field, only to be stopped when Hapu accused him of being the thief who stole some of the radishes. Ash tried to explain he didn't steal it, but Hapu wouldn't listen and had Golurk battle Ash and {{AP|Pikachu}}. With {{t|Normal}} and {{type|Electric}} moves having no effect against each other, Golurk had an advantage and defeated Pikachu with {{m|High Horsepower}}.

Golurk later continued to assist Hapu in the field when she noticed more of the radishes had gone missing and flew off on Golurk. They arrived on the beach, where they spotted Ash confronting the real thieves, {{tc|Team Skull Grunt}}s [[Tupp]], [[Zipp]], and [[Rapp]]. Golurk watched as Hapu defeated Team Skull with her {{p|Mudsdale}}. It later flew Hapu back to the field once Team Skull left and Hapu apologized to Ash for her mis-identification.

In ''[[SM108|Memories in the Mist!]]'', Hapu used her Golurk to battle {{DL|Guardian deities (anime)|Tapu Fini}} with Flash Cannon, before Tapu Fini created an apparition of [[Sofu|her grandfather]].

In ''[[SM127|Chasing Memories, Creating Dreams!]]'', Hapu used Golurk in her grand trial match against {{an|Gladion}}. It battled his {{p|Lycanroc}}, attacking with Flash Cannon, only to be defeated with {{m|Devastating Drake}}.

===Personality and characteristics===
Golurk is a strong Pokémon, as seen when it was able to lift large quantities of radishes out of the ground. In battle, Golurk is strong, being able to quickly defeat {{AP|Pikachu}}. Golurk is quick to follow Hapu's orders, like when it was ordered to attack Ash with {{m|Flash Cannon}} despite his attempts to tell Hapu that he wasn't the daikon thief.
