The Trivia states that Hippopotas and Hipowdon are the only Pokémon whose Male and female sprites have different colors. What about Nidoran?ShinyPiKa 03:26, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

It means, like the same exact species. Not the Nidos. I would be like just the females, or just the males. Thats why.--PsychicRider 03:28, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Help

How do you get Curse and Slack Off on the same Hippopotas. Please help!--Wowy 08:25, 13 September 2009 (UTC)

I don't think it's possible. There are egg move generators around on the internet. Veekun has one, try there. —darklordtrom 09:19, 13 September 2009 (UTC)
Slakoth can learn both, and is in the same egg group. You will need to use a male Torkoal to breed a male Slakoth which knows Curse, and then level it up until it learns Slack Off Werdnae (talk) 05:37, 14 September 2009 (UTC)

Breeding Confusion

I bred my Hippopotas with a Wailren and the moves it knew were Tackle, Sand-Aattack, Swagger and Rest! Not Tackle, Sand-Attack, and Body Slam, and according to this info it should know Body Slam!! Also it says that Hippopotas can't learn Swagger and Rest by breeding it with a Wailren!! Somebody, help!!!!!--sorou 20:46, 30 December 2009 (UTC)

Did the Walrein know the move? If not then Hippopotas won't know it. Also, Swagger and Rest it learns by TM, so it can also learn those moves by breeding. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 20:48, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
Sometimes what happens is that while the Pokemon is in the Day Care, it'll level up and outgrow former moves, then the offspring won't inherit the move WeavilePwns 23:53, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
