Robin (Japanese: ロビン Robin) is the character of the day from Island Time. His Japanese voice actor is 宮下栄治 Eiji Miyashita and his English voice actor is Jonathan Todd Ross.
Robin used to be a traveling salesman. One day, he was on a ship when a storm hit. Everybody was safely evacuated from the ship except for Robin. After falling overboard, a Wailmer saved his life and brought him to Wailmer Island. He remained there for many years until Ash, his friends and Team Rocket crashed on the island.
Working together with their Pokémon and the damaged plane, they created a boat that they hoped would get them past the whirlpools around the island. However, Team Rocket stole the boat for themselves and tried to make it alone. The whirlpools broke the boat. Then, the Wailmer evolved into a Wailord. Team Rocket plotted to steal it, but it sent them flying. Using Wailord, Robin and the others were able to escape from the island.
Eventually, they found a ship traveling to Ever Grande City. However, once he reached the boat, Robin decided to return to Wailmer Island. He said that he would much rather live there, where he could be closer to the Wailord that saved his life many years before. The kids respected his decision, and while they went on to the Hoenn League, Robin returned to the island with Wailord.

Trivia
- Robin may have been named after Robinson Crusoe, a fictional character who was stranded on an island for 28 years.
- The strange mask he wears on his head, along with his purple fuzzy hair, make him slightly resemble a Venonat. Even Max thought he was one at first glance.
