Personal user editing
Six edits in a rows just recently :/ Remember the userspace policy. I know you want to officially publish that talkbar thing but it's not essential editing. —darklordtrom 22:32, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
- I'm trying to avoid saving edits as much as I can. I'll put it on hold or something if necessary to stop clogging up the server. Also, does the "Payout" page get the same treatment? Because I've made like twenty edits to that in the past two days and there hasn't been a peep. It's because it's a prototype mainspace page, right? Ztobor 22:34, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, that's right. Payout will become an article and we like that... but what you're making is essentially a superawesome usertag for a talk page... and I'm sure you'd warn someone if they spent that many edits on a usertag. I know you're probably doing as few edits as you can, but... yeah. Messy. —darklordtrom 22:36, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
- To quote my awesome template page, which your payout page is on by the way, "Userspace limits do not apply to anything appearing on this page, though it is still important to keep the preview button in mind." MaverickNate 22:38, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
- Just a tip for the HP bar you have, you will need to put in defaults for the parameters. If there is no default, and nothing is entered for that parameter, it gets left as {{{parameter}}} Then the {{PAGESIZE:}} 'template' breaks when it finds a { inside it. If you put {{PAGESIZE:User talk:{{{username|Ztobor}}}|R}} then it will still work the same, but it will default to your page if nothing is specified, rather than breaking (and it'll also mean that it can be previewed normally). Oh, and for the width, you'll need to make sure that it stays as a percentage which caps at 100. That is where the 100 - whatever must be kept with 100, so it'll stay inside the confines of the table.
- I'll fill in the width later. Technically, it should actually be pixels the way I've done it, and the template will be designed so it won't ever exceed that. I guess percentage also works, though. Ztobor 23:29, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
- And for the roundy, the classes or sub-templates are roundytop, roundyleft, roundybottom, roundyright, roundytl, roundybl, roundybr and roundytl. Werdnae (talk) 23:07, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
- That's sneaky... Ztobor 23:29, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
