Physiology
Minezumi is a rodent-like Pokémon that resembles a chipmunk. It is mostly brown with a tan stomach and face. Its tail is long and straight with a scruffy white tip. It has a large pointed tooth that sticks out of its mouth. Its head has a black band that covers the eyes, which have red irises with a yellow ring. Its pupils are small and black. Its feet are small and black, with three toes. - unsigned comment from Phantomjunkie (talk • contribs)
- Feel free to add it to the page. I'll add it tomorrow if you haven't already added it by then. Werdnae (talk) 04:08, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
- Okay. I wasn't sure if I would be allowed to just freely edit it since it's in someone else's userpage. :) --Phantomjunkie 05:50, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
- Eh, It kind of is and kind of isn't. I'm saying for people to ask permission first, but if it's a good edit I don't actually care. I'm just saying that to give me an even greater reason to yell at people if they chuck random fanwankish speculation on the page. Both you and Steph now have permission to edit any of my new Pokémon subpages, provided they don't get protected of course, without specific permission for each page, but other non-admins still need permission.

- It's my way of being hopeful that users can be disciplined enough that it doesn't need protection, while still making it seem like there are restrictions. Werdnae (talk) 08:38, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
- Now that the page is in the mainspace and it's protected, I can't go in and edit the physiology. If someone could add the following after the word "mouth," I'd be extremely appreciative.

- Minezumi has a flat face, and its cheeks are very round. Its ears are small and pointed.
Origin
Should it be noted that it may be related to a meerkat, or suricate, due to it being the Lookout Pokemon? --Crimsonnavy 02:01, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
Also, I would think that the "nezumi" portion of it's name denotes it's rodent-like nature. I think it's more closely related to a mouse or rat, the direct translation of "nezumi." I think it's merely coincidental that it's name bears a resemblance to "kinezumi" or squirrel. --Oleandervine 16:58, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
- I personally think it has more in common with gophers/prairie dogs. I pass by a large group of them when heading to my counseling appointments, and they always seem to be on the look out for something. Not to mention that Minezumi's tail reminds me of a gopher's. Mudkipchan 18:21, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
- I'd say that design wise it's very similar to a chipmunk or gopher, but by being the lookout pokemon it is also similar to prarie dogs. They're not related to meerkats though. It's obviously a rodent, meerkats are Herpespidae. Chipmunk, gopher, and prarie dogs would be the closest relation.GreatLiver 12:47, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
- Based on the evolution that showed up in yesterday's trailer, I'm fairly confident it's based on either a prairie dog or meerkat. That upward hands tucked in pose totally gave it away. The Great Ratsby 14:33, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
- Best Wishes teaser showed a group of Minezumi in a tree top, I'm now starting to wonder if they do have more in common with chipmunks or squirrels. Rai Marshall 00:47, 1 August 2010 (UTC)

Possible Trivia?
I have a bit of Trivia might wanted to be added. Not too fussed if it is or isn't, just an idea.
- Although Minezumi is a normal type, its Sugimori artwork depics it in a pose as if it was a psychic type.
Just an idea. --S2daam 18:11, 15 July 2010 (UTC)

Evolution
When is Miruhoggu going to be put in? I don't see why we can't add it. --Element03 00:44, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
- Although it looks obvious, official confirmation is needed I beleive. It will be added when its 100% confirmed. --S2daam 00:50, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
- Another possibility that people seem to forget, what if it's part of a evolutionary line with 3 pokémon? Just another thought. Pokemonemerfan1954 18:07, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
- I did consider this, but GF hasn't made their Route 1 Rodents in a three-stage line, so I honesty don't believe they would change that now. As for Miruhoggu, I can easily wait until the groundhog with Minezumi's face, eyes, and tail gets its confirmation. --Element03 20:48, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
- It's been confirmed. Can someone add this now:
