On February 24, for the purpose of joining the Nintendo Independent Wiki Alliance, WikiBound was created on hosting by Grifkuba. However, the wiki was originally known as PKWiki, from the name of the special moves Ness and Lucas use in the Super Smash Bros. series. The name came through a poll on the NIWA forums. On November 5, 2010, WikiBound eventually fulfilled its goal of joining NIWA. In addition, during December 2010, WikiBound also moved to its current address.
