A Painter (Japanese: えかき Painter) is a type of Pokémon Trainer that first debuted in the Generation III games. In Generation III, they appear as girls wearing berets and carrying art supplies. They are similar to the Artist class of the Generation IV and V games.

They specialize in using the Painter Pokémon, Smeargle.
