:Actually, I don't think the localization "concealed it" so much as "there was no equivalent word". Technically, I don't think it was ever even referred to as the "Ilex Forest Shrine" (although I could be wrong about this). I mean, in Gold and Silver versions I don't even remember it being mentioned by NPCs, and if it was it was probably just referred to as a shrine.
:In any case, what point are you trying to make in terms of changing the article? Do you think the mention of it being "modeled after a Shinto Shrine" should be changed to specifically state that it is referred to as such? Or do you think that trivia should somehow be incorporated into the main article? I agree that if your point stands it is noteworthy, but I can't tell how best to integrate it into the article. --[[User:AndyPKMN|AndyPKMN]] [[User talk:AndyPKMN|(talk)]] 02:08, 10 May 2011 (UTC)

Irrelevant part

I don't think that the shrines from fourth movie and Chronicles episode should be mentioned in this article. Of course, they are also dedicated to Celebi but other than that they seem to have no relation to the one in Ilex. And this page is titled "ILEX Forest Shrine". A featured article shouldn't have such flaws. --Maxim 15:51, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

I was thinking about that too, but here's the thing: on one hand, you're right. That's not the Ilex Forest shrine. On the other hand, when they were created and intergated into the plots of the movie and the special, the writers clearly had the Ilex Forest shrine in mind. It's not exactly the same, but think of them as... other interpretations of the shrine. They're clear references to it. --electAbuzzzz 16:40, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

Capitalization

Since the sign in the Ilex Forest of HGSS capitalizes "Shrine" as a [part of a] proper noun, the article ought to reflect this, eh? TJF588 05:34, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

Is the Shinto shrine concealed by "Localize version"?

It is called HOKORA by "Original(Japanese) version". HOKORA is a kind of the Shinto shrine. Sawamular101 01:47, 10 May 2011 (UTC)

Actually, I don't think the localization "concealed it" so much as "there was no equivalent word". Technically, I don't think it was ever even referred to as the "Ilex Forest Shrine" (although I could be wrong about this). I mean, in Gold and Silver versions I don't even remember it being mentioned by NPCs, and if it was it was probably just referred to as a shrine.
In any case, what point are you trying to make in terms of changing the article? Do you think the mention of it being "modeled after a Shinto Shrine" should be changed to specifically state that it is referred to as such? Or do you think that trivia should somehow be incorporated into the main article? I agree that if your point stands it is noteworthy, but I can't tell how best to integrate it into the article. --AndyPKMN (talk) 02:08, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
