Scyther, Heart of a Champion by Sheila Sweeny is the twelfth book in the adaptation of the Pokémon anime. It is a book focusing on Tracey's Scyther. It was published by Scholastic in August 2000.

This book follows the plot of the anime episode Tracey Gets Bugged. Ash, Misty, and Tracey arrive at Murcott Island, which is famous for its Template:Type2 Pokémon. Misty, predictably, wants to leave the island.
Tracey's Venonat's radar and his Marill's hearing then lead the group to an angry, wounded Scyther. Ash throws a Poké Ball at it in order to carry it to a Pokémon Center and heal it. However, it refuses to be caught and demands to battle! Ash sends out Pikachu, but Tracey stops them from attacking. Tracey sends out Venonat and it uses Sleep Powder. Scyther falls asleep and Tracey catches it.
